Update so this is what i've got to so far....:
- I will look into what myanimelist API lets us do.... maybe my users will be able to search MAL and then store their lists in my own database but using the MAL data to populate the lists. this sounds pretty cool, i wonder if it is viable and if it is already being done by everyone else?? - users can then generate a jpg of their list - multiform with adobe air???

After Psycho-Pass I started watching Shingeki no Kyojin and Jeus that ending is so glorious that fluent animation would just ruin it. Why they alwais ruin OP's ED's . . . PP had good OP and ED, I dont mind 2nd OP but 2nd ED was just bad T_T same with Shingeki.. Im pretty sure theyll change Akame's OP and ED shortly .. (Esdeath > everybody when it comes to power alone I would freakin run) Still have PP2 to watch Fate had nicely refined fighting sequences if everything stays the same I dont mind watching this even knowing the storyline.
Twintails damn, last light series that I have watched was Nozaki ( I would say it was ok). Been kinda hyped for that show but now I have no idea where it can go its beyond my comprehension... I watched the OP screamed loudly WTF@?! and that was it before work... but now when I watched it its still the same WTF@?! Maybe I just read the description wrong thingking wait no no no.. im not gonna explain its too dumb when I thing bout it loololoo.. Im gonna keep waiting for this one but Im freaking sure its not something to watch during trip to work. Gues that happens when you stop watching light stuff

Finished a ton of ep1s, my thoughts High Priority Akatsuki no Yona: So many cultural elements. Interesting and expressive characters. Downfall of princess themes. and the direction is fantastic. Amagi Brilliant park: hah, narcissistic mc with a senjougahara-like heroine. Kanye west, 50 cent, ice cube, and latifa all in the same show(lol these names) I like the comedy and it's an interesting direction that kyoani decided to take with this. Also, the LN is made by FMP's author so i hope this goes well. Grisaia no Kajitsu: exceeded all my expectations. Fantastic characters and direction. I hope it adapts the VN well. The story set up in ep1 is also very nice. Gundam G Reco: too much potential, the characters are interesting and the female mc is already suffering. Kiseijuu: excellent directing and visuals. introspective look on the mc can use some more work though. Got tons of potential Madan no ou to vanadis : Pretty good, don't care for fanservice but i like the characters and the action is great Psycho pass 2: well.... it's psycho pass Selector Spread wixoss: Bato-ru! Suffering! shigatsu wa kimi no uso: very strong start. next nodame cantabile plz Garo: the action and cgi in this is a fantastic sight to see. Story has potential. Gundam build fighters try: i love me some gunpla battles F/SN UBW: wow, how do i forget this Medium priority Cross Ange: its a sunrise mecha that looks a lot like seed... but it doesn't hold up compared to the other sunrise shows. Inou-battle wa nichijou..... : this kind of reminds me of NGNL. Shirobako: fantastic direction. Working adults. could be a good comedic representation of the anime industry. really nice. ushinawareta mirai wo motomete: the art hurts when i compare this to the VN but the story is interesting so i'm staying for that. Log Horizon S2: ... Shingeki no bahamut: the characters annoy me. Sora no method: Getting anohana vibes. cant wait for this to escalate. low priority Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken: short 3 minute watch.... why not? Terraformars : censored all the action.... why? Donten ni warau : has tons of potential and it's a good show in how it utilizes storytelling but i'm not really interested in what the three characters are going through. Still need to air: Mushishi Yuuki yuuna wa yuusha de aru i'll probably drop quite a few shows here. oh and i'm exaggerating a bit.

OK after browsing for example anime lists i see there is a mobile ap which obviously the tlnet list was created from.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe you are right that it is too simple.... I mean, its very hard for me to tell since I have little experience in coding. The ideal intention would be to develop it using a modern or cutting edge technology that perhaps makes it very fast or very compatible/multiplatform ...or very something.....
That in mind, don't you see any particular issues in the things I listed? How am I supposed to be able to tell if something like this is too easy or too difficult!?!!
I have like 30 1st-class projects from my university that i downloaded and need to read. So yeah I'll do that next before getting my head too far stuck into something. Can you think of anything that would make this project interesting/challenging (in your opinion?)
Edit: i think the complexity would come from making decisions like "what database technology" "what api technology" (whatever) "what image generation technology" and "what frontend technology" and comparing options , performance etc?
edit2: twintails is fucking awesome holy shit. dat candydoll lizardman

The choices of "what database technology", "what api technology", and so on don't matter in the context of the problem because you could get literally anything to work.
I just don't see the point of doing this for a final project. First, it is of very little practical use - the market for apps to make recommendation charts is minimal at best. Second, it is simultaneously too broad and too shallow. You're doing a bunch of little things, but none of them are actually hard.
My suggestion would be to focus on a specific part of the problem. For instance, say you wanted to focus on the optimization of the database search. How can a search be made more efficient on mobile hardware? How can I leverage the benefits of mobile hardware to cache results and speed up the search? Does this reduce power draw and increase battery life? This kind of topic can go as deep as you like, even down to hardware level.
Anyway, I would say that developing a regular app is a bad idea unless you're specifically sponsored by industry, or the resulting app is something that has widespread appeal.

OMFG so good to see Akane again!!!!!! That ending though. PP2 is going to be so good.

I thought Nodame was good, but not great, but even then I feel like a lot of the things you comment on feel like exaggerations for the sake of creative liberty/entertainment and not because they necessarily made a gross error. I mean...batting averages in baseball are usually incredibly low, but in Cross Game, which seemed like they wanted to at least be a bit realistic, everyone had like...pretty ridiculously high batting averages. Like, yeah, we might say that an accompaniment, by the definition of the word I guess, is supposed to complement the performance, but given the romantic component in the anime, I think it fits quite well with everything. But anyway, I just liked Nodame because they had a lot of classical music and it's one of the few anime where they really paid a lot of attention to detail when animating how people played their instruments. :3 Actually high school baseball it's not all that rare for someone to bat .700 to .800 for a whole year. It's not like professional where the best and the worst is only marginally different, if you are really good and on a pro path, you just absolutely destroy everything. This right here. I had an .846 average for one year with no strikeouts. When you're at a level above the competition things like this happen a lot. (i was at a college level in high school). O__O :O Sugoi!!! Wow hahah that's awesome ya until i violently dislocated my shoulder 3 times in a 6 month span and now i can't swing a bat anymore

Wow that blows. Sorry to hear that man.

Yeah there's a lot of protags who get annoying with their 0 kill policy or kill only when you're about to die policy. But Akane is p cool.
