Kiss Shot Acerola Orion Heart Under the Blade aka. pre-nerfed Shinobu should be the most powerful apparition in the series right+ Show Spoiler [monogatari s2 snail arc] + (if we exclude that black flying thing that chased Hachikuchi ) But what about this statement below? "You'll face the one you're about to name 'kako'. The apparition with strength unparalleled in history. " - Gaen(Kanbaru's aunt) said to Hanekawa(monogatari s2 ep 4) I mean sure the tiger was oneshotted by the kaiki killer blade but what apparition does survive from that blade anyways ? Pretty sure Nadeko in Snake God form loses to Kiss shot full form. I know it's silly to talk about powerlevels in a show not about fighting lol. But i am just curious. This could be a stupid question but i like to hear your opinions/theorycraft/whatever. I don't mind spoilers from the LN's. Is kisshot(without kaiki-killer-blade) stronger than The white tiger and Izuko Gaen's opinion is obsolete or an exaggeration ? Or what izuko Gaen said is right ? Is there even any apparition stronger than Kisshot in the LN's? EDIT : FUCK YEAH I MANAGED TO POST IN THE 4K PAGE .. not that it matters | ||

Anyway original form Kisshot w/ no handicaps probably the strongest thing overall if you ignore intangible things like the darkness in onimonogatari, not that it matters. Too lazy to look for appropriate quotes but the series has stated multiple times about how pointless being stronger is when faced against incompatible abilities. The only exceptions to that really is like original kisshot and rules of the universe. The former has plenty of weaknesses anyway and the later isn't even a thing, it is just a self-correcting mechanism that pops up. | ||

Rofl yeah sure i did say it's a silly thing to talk about it since monogatari is not an anime about fighting. And the powerlevels of it seems vague. + Show Spoiler + Hmm so Kisshot still the strongest. I also assumed that kisshot in fullform what the strongest since like you said all the narration state that she is the lord of apparitions. It was just wondering since after hearing that statement that Gaen Izuko said to Hanekawa. And i sort of assumed that Gaen Izuko really has a omniscient knowledge and she was never wrong with anything and the author really established her to really know everything not just a thing that the character brags. Yeah strength seems pointless since they resolve everything through talk-no-jutsu. | ||

The series, or nishio in general really, never really bothers establishing power levels beyond that one guy is super and shits on everyone else regardless of circumstances...probably...in the end. Everyone else that's referred to as wtf strong just ends up being having a set of skills and personality that is hard to exploit. | ||

There isn't really any weakness to take advantage of, it just burns shit and gives no fucks about anything else. Hmmm interesting .. have not thought of that .. i just focused my thoughts on whether Gaen was lying or does she really have omniscient knowledge .. alright it somehow much clearer eca .. Thanks | ||
