Aldanoah.Zero - Typical mecha Barakamon - Hard to screw this up, but I'm sure they can mess it up if they try Sailor Moon - If it actually airs this time GitS Arise 3 - Probably mediocre just like the last two Boats - It better be 4koma or ptsd Nobunaga Concerto - Might actually be good Rail Wars - Who knows, it might be crazy enough to work Argevollen - Typical mecha Tokyo ESP - I expect it to suck horribly, knowing the mangaka. Tokyo Ghoul - Might actually be good Zankyou no Terror - Expecting grimdark angst and/or really bad politics/philosophy On a different note, I do wonder why Nanana has so much emphasis on fights, considering none of them are particularly interesting. | ||

Completed three anime last week. Was a lot of marathoning! First anime was Tokyo Ravens. It started off pretty meh to me, but after powering through the first like six episodes, things began to get really interesting. Ootomo x Douman too badass, and Kyouko mucho hott. Sakura Ayane as Suzuka was surprisingly entertaining as well. Didn't care for Natsume x Harutora at all though, as Natsume was boring as hell. I've seen a loooot of anime involving exorcism and all that stuff so at first, I had my reservations about the show, but once again it turned out to be better than expected. Personally I'd rate it a 7.5, but since it's MAL, 7/10. Second anime was Ben-To. Wasn't expecting anything but some comedy and fanservice. That's exactly what I got but... it was still really mediocre even then. Yarizui was quite tame and dull, and I was hoping Shimono Hiro would carry Satou like he usually carries his characters in these kinds of roles, but Satou just wasn't that interesting. The fujoshi had a lot of funny parts though, and there was some good Shaga fanservice and Yukarin fanservice, so in the end I didn't regret watching the show. Anyway, I got what I was looking for, comedy and fanservice. Technically I should rate this show a 5/10, but since there was plenty of Shaga fanservice and I am a total Katou Emiri fanboy, 6/10. Third show was Gundam Build Fighters. Watched the whole thing in two nights. Honestly wasn't expecting much before I started watching it (the concept of Gunpla battles just sounded tacky as fuck) but it turned out to be Angelic Layer in hyperdrive, which was amazing. The OST was totally awesome. Really created the mood. A lot of the Gunpla looked real cool, with my favs being the Sengoku Astray and Yuuki's Exia during the finals. Also, Sei-mama #1. Incredibly hott and funny to boot. Haqua 2.0 (Aila) comes in at a close second, and China closely follows behind Aila at #3 for being super adorable. I had my qualms here and there regarding the show but overall, I really enjoyed it. 8/10. Oh, I also completed the Mushishi Special finally. The characters in this one weren't as interesting, comparatively, to characters in past episodes, but the mushi were interesting as always. Also, more Tanyuu = great. 8/10. I also finished rewatching Mushishi S1 beforehand and raised its rating from a 9 to a 10. Yep, it is a masterpiece. I'm sorry to have doubted it before (I was young and dumb when I first watched it). Other anime that I started: Mushishi S2, up to ep 2 (so far so good) Ishuukan Friends, up to ep 2 (Kaori super cute) Magic Kaito, up to ep 4 (tis okay so far) Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, up to ep 4 (it's just Yuuko service which... isn't all that bad, but not what I was expecting) Anime that I dropped: Cuticle Tantei Inaba @ ep 1 (not funny at all) Mayo Chiki @ ep 9 (was fun for a while but not worth finishing) Yep... watched a ton of anime last week. | ||

As for girl rankings, I'd put Aila at #1 (obviously, for people who talk to me), then Rinko and China are close, and then almost everyone else. And then after everyone else, fucking Mihoshi/Kirara at the very bottom. Below the bottom. Oh, and just an afterthought. I actually haven't seen all that much Gundam and yet I was able to enjoy GBF quite a bit. If you're hesitating on whether or not you should watch it because you don't know much about Gundam, don't worry, just watch it, tis good either way. | ||
