Go for anime first. if you don't get satisfied or to be more accurate you get addicted to the series and wanted to pry more about the series and/or the lore behind that anime that's when you start watching the manga. Some like me prefer to look at the manga at times when i don't want to spend too much time watching the anime of it. Especially when i hear rumors saying that the anime is garbage.
OK i realized i am not answering your question. The anime of Shingeki No Kyojin is amazing. They did a great job in making Shingeki No Kyojin a anime to the point that it is 200 times better than the manga. So check the anime.

Saying it's bad is underrated.
Well some would argue that "IT IS A WORK OF ART" :D When you watch you have to keep an open mind because you will be pissed. Pretty sure about it.

The mindfuck that the ending gives is really the only thing it has going for it imo, it's mostly bad otherwise.
I'd say it's worth watching but I'm not saying you should watch it.

Trying to decide if I should continue with Kare Kano. Watched the 1st 5 episodes (in the very meh english dub) a while back and was going to finish it over break.
It any good? It was ok so far, though I think the dub takes away from it.
