Seeing the toothbrush at Touma's place, while it may have been partially about the whole friends left me and I have no friends thing, I think it was also partly due to her loving him. Love makes you do crazy things and she overreacts to it.
Why does she like him? I honestly don't know. I can hazard a guess that it's due to the fact that he treats her like everyone else. He doesn't distinguish her from others and I think she mentioned that in the first episode at some point. Maybe she seems something in him from earlier. For all we know, maybe he looks like a previous close friend or bf but I'm overthinking it lol. Either way, we know she likes him a lot. Yeah she's crazy about Haruki :|. I think Setsuna is A) Spoiled B) a bit crazy C) she's acting like a bitch in heat with Haruki D) Jealous and yeah also E) Unrealistic. They are in a group WHICH she helped inmensely to kickstart by convincing Touma, as we know it seems like Haruki wasn't doing a good enough job. But then she gets mad when they spend time together, tell each other shit or just talk to each other in general lol, her demeanor says a lot about her more than what she actually says. If she keeps acting like this I won't blame Haruki for picking Touma . You know before this episode and I still stand by it IIIIIIIISH, after what happened during toothbrush-gate I still think that it was mostly because she saw them as a group of friends and she didn't want the same that happened with her old friends to happen again which is like 80-90% of the cause of her emoness and jealosy attack was the remaining 10-20%. But after this episode... I don't know man, I think she was really just jealous that Touma is "STEALING HER MAN!" and like 10% the friends crap lol, she's just so hostile and what I DON'T like about her is that she doesn't express it. Her demeanor tells me she's angry (the moment we discussed before in the piano room about the weekend, now this when she literally seems to be biting her lips not to say something outrageous and overly bitchy), that's my issue with this girl, she's obviously not being honest about her responses you can see she thinks about it for a while then goes in a different direction. I think a lot of that is her playing along with Haruki and the whole band crap I don't think she cares about, some ways I do think she wants to sing, likes to sing and she knows Touma is talented but I think if she could she would prefer it if it was just her and Haruki. I see what you mean about Haruki and Touma, I mean it seems Touma has been paying attention to Haruki so it's not a stretch that she knows he plays the guitar and that the guy in the room playing the guitar was him so she played with him. Not saying there is anything wrong with Touma opening up to Haruki, just that she seems to WANT to stay away from people because her mom abandoned her :| pretty much and she doesn't want that to become a recurrent thing lol. Just seemed sudden to me that is all, went from pfft I don't like you you dumbass to omg here's why I'm so bitchy at people all the time D:! lol. Yes you're crazy, glad you admitted it, otherwise I don't see how else you could like Taiga . I can see that line of thought, I mean you're talking to someone who taught Setsuna went home the night of the sleepover and somehow took Haruki's toothbrush with her home, during the first time I saw it lol <.<. Yeah I guess it is odd he wrote 2007 when he's been "working on it for 3 years", from what I read he said "I only joined the LMA so I could write a song, Takeya was the guitarrist so I never thought about performing on stage. I mean, it's kinda like my compilation of my three years here" I'm guessing he means both high school and how long he's been in the club. As to why it says 2007, because maybe that's when he finally wrote this song? he could have written many songs before this and I'm sure he did if this one is good but yeah that's why it probably says that. Could be his dream to leave behind that song in her high school years, doesn't have to be a life long dream, there are no small dreams I think . We can easily translate Unstable to crazy lol, but I think she's just very passive aggressive, I think there's more about her we haven't really seen. I think the way Touma went about opening up to Haruki was much natural, the way Setsuna asked Haruki out to go to the Karaoke and "open up" to him in such a forced way to idk try to win him over? was not so natural, to me that's her saying "You see I'm just a normal girl who has some weird hobbies but I'm not mean like some people might say". What you said about the train and Touma leaving with her mom made a lot of sense to be honest. To be honest I never thought about him "doing it in front of Setsuna", think of it this way. Touma is leaving, Haruki runs to the train station to confess to her, he didn't think Setsuna would be there for X or Y reason, he confesses and then we see Setsuna arriving to the train station to say good bye as well, Touma sees Setsuna and rejects Haruki because she sees Setsuna there. It also might be that they both went to say good bye or try to convince her not to leave, Haruki has a burst of emotion, hugs her and maybe confesses OR NOT but still Setsuna looks at them like T_T. Both possible but we'll see how it goes down. Also I doubt Haruki cares about the other girl if she's confessing to one of them lol, specially if he's another Ryuji and doesn't really know. GO WATCH KIMI NOZO NAO, it's short you'll finish it in like 3 hours . You know I just realized something :O I don't know if I'm right but I'll add it in my 2nd rant which I wrote earlier haha <.<. Yeah you're right maybe we saw that but she probably didn't, she might have but it's a stretch lol. I'm still curious about when he told Haruki that he gave Touma the song, I wished they had shown that. I think the way Haruki talks about Setsuna to Lizuka (I mention this later) kind of shows he may not want any rumors, though if he didn't want any he wouldn't call her by her first name or if he did he would like whisper it to her LOL like he did at first before that scene . Come back as in to Japan, she was born there, she's a japanese citizen last time I checked so why wouldn't she come back or want to live in her home country? even after being done with school lol, maybe they want her to stay so they can be a regular band or something or just don't want their dear friend to leave and stay in japan. Yes I want to see what a jealous Touma would look like, she's very "Ice queen" type that any time she shows emotion is an event lol. NOU SHE'S A CRAZY BITCH AAAAAAAH!. I don't think acting insecure and unstable because people wronged you in the past is a very good or stable thing to do lol. I get her friends sucked but that doesn't mean everyone else will do the same, specially Haruki after that phone conversation. I don't know my friend, if our friendship depends on whether or not I think Setsuna is hiding her true self then I doubt we can be friends for much longer , I just want her to be honest with everyone, if she's mad and wants Haruki for herself then be fucking honest and slap that bitch Touma and fuck Haruki right in front of her lol. I hate this "I'm totally bullshitting you guys with this attitude because of my idol status at school" bs. I can see the writers dangle this in our noses for a while until it reaches it's last unbearable boiling point. To respond to your other post, well I didn't mean literally bi polar I mean she obviously isn't but I mentioned many times my issue with her specially in the post above . Now this were some notes I took while I was rewatching the last episode earlier. + Show Spoiler +There was another clock in this episode lol and :O shockingly enough it was still 2007 , there were 2 clocks lol one on the telephone which says 2007/11/22 Thursday (can't see the time) Lol I can't find the clock that's by her piano which has the time, I know I saw it... going through the episode trying to find it lol Found it! at 9:56 lol it says 2007/11/22 Thursday 20:36(This came after the phone but I didn't notice because I was skipping around).Just so we're on the same page about the time lol and the date, don't want to think it's 2010 again. I noticed something else as I was rewatching the episode earlier and well now while I was skipping all over it trying to find stuff. When setsuna reads the song they gave her she says "Love beyond reach", "pretending to be lonely", "I was head over heels for you" I think the pretending to be lonely could mean he's referring to Touma in the song and that he's head over heels for her? could be a song about Touma and then Haruki says that Touma didn't fix the song when she got it. She said there was nothing to fix and then gives him this very hmm interesting look. That's when Setsuna goes from o.o to O.O. Maybe Setsuna's response was due to that, that she read and saw it might be a song about Haruki's feelings for Touma. If that is the case, I don't think it's totally irrational for her to be jealous at that part <.< then you see her sort of biting her lips which I think shows she is keeping to herself what she really wanted to say, I think she's crazy jealous type, even though at first she didn't want to be left out of the group, I think now both the girls are starting to see the other as competition, so she hated the fact that Touma knew about the song before she did and obviously that the song might be about Touma... You know, when Lizuka was talking to Haruki when he came to school during the festival after coming from Touma's house I noticed a few things. As Lizuka was telling Haruki how Setsuna couldn't find her voice, that she was petrified on stage, they go up some stairs and Haruki says "Are you really talking about Sets--Ogiso here?" I wonder why the sudden change? why he didn't just call her Setsuna when he seems so comfortable calling her that when she's with her, maybe she's still insecure about how people might see his relationship with Setsuna? doesn't want people to think they are a couple? hmmmmmm that's something to think about. Lizuka then says "I already know you and Setsuna are on first-name basis", "You should have sealed HER mouth instead of your own" then Haruki very nervously says "I-i wasn't trying to hide anything" AND also he told him "What are we gonna do about tomorrow's performance?" "Any way to handle Setsuna-chan's emotions? What about Touma's health?" I think he sees that Setsuna is quite fragile and Haruki giving Touma all his attention regardless of her being sick, makes Setsuna "Unstable" as you said lol. Which is totally irrational btw lol. There was also a moment that came right after when Haruki enters the class room where Setsuna is, I can see why Setsuna might be apologizing for AGAIN acting like a jealous bitch and not sing at the rehearsal because HER MAN WAS WITH SOME OTHER WOMAN!! GRRR!!. She says "I'm sorry Haruki, I'm not sure if I'll be of any help to you guys" (guessing she means the band, I wonder if it's because she feels her jealous side is getting the best of her or in general?) but then Haruki grabs her so suddenly and says "I'm the one who should be sorry, so I'll apologize in advance" I really don't get why he did that OR says that, what did he mean by apologize in advance? in advance for what? didn't he just apologize? sounds odd to me... this I'm so nice it makes other people look like criminals attitude he shows to everyone makes things confusing lol. One thing we totally skipped over that is like WHAT!? How did we not talk about this was how I thought it was odd how Touma sort of asked Haruki if he was going to go out with Setsuna just like that, sure he didn't hear it (That was like those AmiXRyuji moments ). But it's interesting to know she sort of sees setsuna as a possible love interest for Haruki, I wonder if it's because SHE definitely admitted to herself she likes Haruki and wants to know if Haruki likes her as well OR if she's starting to see Setsuna as competition/worst enemy she mentioned earlier. You saw a bit of that as well when Setsuna went to visit Touma at her house and Touma asks her what's with the outfit and she tells Touma that Haruki insisted in leaving like that or something, she had this look on her face that made her look a bit jealous lol (I think). It's funny how both Setsuna and Touma have abandonement issues, Setsuna because of shitty friends and Touma because of her mom, that's why she probably told Setsuna she wouldn't call her by her first name (Which btw I think it's a tactic Setsuna is trying to use to make her feel close to her and by calling her by her first name might mean she would feel bad about stealing Haruki if they are close friends lol. I know this sounds like I'm paranoid lol but I wouldn't put it past unstable Setsuna. I mean she wants to get close to Touma and Haruki so she's forcing the whole first name thing on them to feel like they might be close friends and won't backstab her), because she doesn't want to get that close to people (because of her mom). She doesn't want to get hurt so she keeps people at arms length. I really wonder if Touma is the Passive Aggressive type like Setsuna or if she's more honest about how she feels towards people, I mean really honest not this I hate everyone so stay away from me act she puts up. After the 5th episode when she went full emo and was like oh well guys I thought here we were all friends but it seems to me it's just you (Touma) and Haruki, while you guys are leaving me behind. I think Setsuna's demeanor speaks volumes about what she's really thinking, I think she's crazy jealous that those 2 spend any amount of time together (Which is why I think she couldn't sing at the rehearsal, she feels insecure and probably couldn't think about anything else other than what Haruki and Touma could be doing without her ALONE at TOUMA's house), not just the insecurity of being left out due to the whole thing with her friends but she's in love with Haruki and she feels Touma is stealing him with every thing they share that she's the last to know about and whenever she's not around them. I think being around Haruki makes her want to sing and yeah Touma's piano doesn't hurt but I'm almost sure she invited Touma into the band 90% because Haruki wanted her there for her piano. From the second she met Touma she was already measuring up the competition, remember when she saw her the first time and she was like "damn she's a bit taller and she has bigger boobs D:", then she invited Touma to the burger place to try to convince her to join so Haruki would be happy even though she felt threatened (Remember how she almost told her "Oh so you do like Haruki huh?!" when that train went by) I think she thought she could keep an eye on them and keep those 2 in check if she's around. But then when she isn't and then all this stuff happens every time they are left alone that she has to find out later (if at all) about makes her even more insecure. This part is a bit of a jumbled mess I wrote down yesterday and today, also some of this came off from some discussions I had with a friend about it. + Show Spoiler +He agrees that Setsuna isn't exactly normal and that her attitude is odd but he doesn't dislike her and NEITHER DO I, despite what you may think lol. Ya, I see your totally into WA2 which is fine. I love the anime as well. I'm watching a lot atm although it's mostly Clannad After story now and waiting for other anime episode releases I also planned to respond to that one but I got busy with Clannad and stuff lol. + Show Spoiler [Clannad] +loved it. At the start, I disliked Nagisa since she seemed like the boring always unsure main character but I guess she grew on me as the series went by. The other characters like Kotomi, Kyou and such who also loved Tomoya made it that much better. Fuko's episodes do seem to pale in comparison to the rest but it was interesting when I was watching them. I think kotomi's was one of the most interesting. The mystery of the background of Nagisa's parents was also interesting. That one episode where they all came to give food to Tomoya and he was forced to eat it all lol was great to watch. I think most important was the episode when Tomoyo was playing tennis and then Nagisa got hurt by the ball. Tomoya pretty much reacts unconsciously to block the guy from taking her to the nurse station was pretty much the nail in the coffin for any other possible relationships. Gotta feel sorry for Kotomi, Kyou and Ryou though. They really had no chance at all. Oh well lol. @slaughter I think I managed to spoiler some more stuff for after story ><; lol. + Show Spoiler +was mostly looking for character names since Tomoyo and Tomoya was confusing and I guess I read a bit too much on some unknown name I saw.
