You had some suggestions to help us with our particular problem lol. Lol you typed Ino and I was like who the fuck is Ino, does he mean Inko? I think that's what you mean lol. I never really thought of that when I saw that, when she left I was like WHOA WTF TAIGA WHERE YOU GOING!? :O!. Also Ryuji's face afterwards when he was being interrogated didn't really showed he knew much about Taiga's plans or why she did what she did. I think maybe he knew? and yeah mostly that her mom was there waiting for him, I remember thinking that as well but maybe he thought that as well that she might leave. I mean she did have her clothes with her but she might have wanted to have a chat with her mom, maybe he texted her but we don't really see that do we? I don't think he did, I think after the note he just left her alone and waited for her to contact him, I think that note was a pretty clear "Let me do this thing for a while I'll contact you later" type of thing.

Yeah that's pretty much the problem the final episodes felt rushed so it was a turn off for me, some episodes felt slow before so maybe some cutting and fixing those around could have given us a better explained story that didn't feel cut short (specially the end WHICH I THINK IT'S PRETTY IMPORTANT AARRRRGHHHH) I'm a pirate tonight apparently .
That's one of the things that bothered me the most, after a while it was obvious that it was a Taiga only show haha and Ryuji would end up with her, so regardless of where my heart was it doesn't bother me too much to dislike the show just a bit annoyed the BEST girl didn't win ;(. Like I said Ova pretty useless, watch only if you have nothing better to do and time to fuck around, which you shouldn't because you should be watching White Album 2 *wink wink*.

I know they didn't elope or get married in vegas etc etc lol but it just felt SO stupid like, yeah I get Taiga's mom was breathing down her neck and what not but it made them look like stupidly stupid children. And they took my beloved Minori's money D: jerks, I hope they returned it since they didn't go anywhere and didn't need to live in some shitty motel for 2 months . At that moment I didn't see it as them trying to do something last minute to save their relationship, but as the writers being stupid and trying to escalate their relationship FAR too quickly, I mean not even a fucking kiss. You have to test drive the car first, come on you just don't do that unless you're a dumb teenager who doesn't know any better lol. That's the "taste" it left for me, I see your point and yes very valid, last minute effort dumb one but whatever it's fine.

That type of scenes were the type that pissed me off, just shows more of poor Taiga being all in love with Ryuji without really thinking or knowing it and then everyone feels "bad" and like their relationship is stupidly strong because they are most likely in love with each other. So, everyone backs off and now one else gets pork cutlets since Taiga is hogging them all , or anything from Ryuji lol. To a point I think Taiga is rather selfish lol, she your man taiga don't be a jerk at least with Minori <3 joking of course. But seriously sigh, it just made it seem like the secondary characters got the hint and would back off since she's obviously crazy about him whether or not she realized it at that point lol. Regardless of her seeing him as a friend at that point or whatever I think what she did was out of love but she didn't "know".

I didn't read anything beforehand except like the summary of the story in ANN which gives away nothing, so as far as I was concerned the GODS OF ANIME would grace me with an Ami and Ryuji ending but that didn't happen sigh. Like I said before I think she's just the type that doesn't want to seem weak, doesn't want to seem "girly", and doesn't talk about things she thinks would make people think that, specially since she was super jealous of her brother for being a baseball player which she couldn't do and looking weak wasn't going to help her in her mind. So you know she had this conversation about ghosts and shit in her mind to shield herself from feeling weak or even looking weak with people she might have this conversation with, so while that wasn't OBVIOUS it was a hint that she liked Ryuji. But outside of that you are right there wasn't really any hint from her, any advances or anything close to that that might make us think she's in love with Ryuji which I HATED, because no one else BUT Taiga really did anything Ryuji would see as a CLEAR signal. Yeah sure Ami pretty much spell it out but Ryuji is so dumb he didn't even noticed, or Ami would say it under her breath and pretend she didn't say it afterwards.

Fuck I've been writing this for like 30 minutes now I have to go to the bathroom <.< lol.

Continuation . To be honest like we said before when you watch too many in a row they all blur together so you don't remember them unless something ridiculously serious or changing happens, and those were the ones I can remember where shit happened that mattered compared to the other episodes. So yeah those were the highlights for me, a lot of very important stuff happened those episodes. Just wished MORE happened, you know? the scene with Minori was one of the few meaningful things that happened with her so I liked that scene. Oh you know one scene I LOVED was at the beach when Taiga went to the bathroom while Ami was in the shower then she slowly came back and said BOOM BOOM like that girl has it all in the right places :O. Then Ami came and threw her flip flop at her haha, that scene was really good. I really liked Inko, every time it showed up it caused me to laugh, someone would comment how ugly it was, or it was about to choke and die again lol or it would try to say its name and get it totally wrong so yeah one of my favourite characters haha. That whole thing with Taiga's dad was just super sad, but I get why Ryuji would push her you know? he didn't really have a father, so he doesn't know what it's like to have one and wished he did so he pushed Taiga to fix her relationship with hers since she DID have one. It looked like she did it very reluctantly and kind of only to please Ryuji while kind of hoping her dad stopped being a dick.

I mentioned how fail the rescue people were because it seemed that since the group was inside, the rescue people were outside looking and had been doing so for a while. So when Ryuji went out and found her that quickly I was a bit annoyed, it all seemed like plot convenience lol. Also was kind of to see Minori wearing the hair clip thingy in front of Ryuji, sure she didn't know but it was sad to know what we knew and Ryuji's reaction. What I hope for the future is that Kitamaru gets together with Kanou? that girl, when he goes to the states and all that, he was such a nice guy and it's like come on give Kitamaru a girl already, he was the show's loneliest guy even while being surrounded by girls (that he didn't really care for lol).

I think it wouldn't hurt to watch it again so we can discuss anything we might have missed or any realizations we have after a second viewing, whether we do 1 at a time or several it's fine. I suggested one so we don't blur the episodes together and so we don't miss anything lol, I'm not watching it 3 times lol. Let me know when you can get on that and it's fine, we'll see what we can do.

WHAT DOES THE TOOTHBRUSH MEAN? OMG I wonder if it's going to be "Toothbrush-gate" or like no biggie for Ogiso that Kitahara has been staying over at Touma's house <.< and she doesn't even know for how long. Too obvious that Ogiso is drooling over Kitahara and Kitahara went full Ryuji and doesn't even notice because he's into Touma.

ya I agree, the ending still pisses me off when I think about it lol but I feel some closure when I consider that the actual ending was supposed to be 2 mnths instead of a year+ and now that it's been several days since I last fully watched it. Well, taiga is the main character and Minori and Ami are secondary so not surprising. Well, it's how the author wanted it otherwise he would've had Minori in Taiga's position. Having said that, I think I like Ryuji and Taiga getting together more than if Minori got together with him. What are you talking about? the BEST girl did win ya, it's ok, still deciding about OVA. Might watch white album 2, wanted to watch one but you spoiled it

well, Ryuji did say he is a child still and does't consider himself an adult, not 18 at least so ya, it made sense they'll jump to that point lol. Minori offered the money and they likely returned it! I'm not sure tbh. Maybe it was escalation but other perspective is still to save by getting married. It didn't bother me much although more episodes with them dating and seeing Taiga's new side with Ryuji would've been appreciated. ya, half a confession although they knew and no kiss till after wasn't a good idea. At least, they got to kiss quite a bit later ^^

piss off? I thought it was a nice scene. We got a side of her we never saw before then and it started things. Maybe a bit selfish, even Minori mentioned that in last episode but Ryuji actually wanted to cook for her lol. Yes, you're right. It's likely she did it out of love but didn't realize it. That's true, Minori doesn't like the girly idea. hmm possibly. I'm not sure how ghosts relate to love though lol. I guess don't see ghosts so don't see love or something I still don't see it as a big hint except for her saying that she doesn't tell people that story or something so he got a 'secret' story. ya, Ami tried, found he wasn't interested, tried more, still no interest then tried to clue him like 10 times about Taiga but still nothing. I wonder if it's really this hard to notice if this was real life >.>

ya, I want a lot more stuff happening. They could've easily done it but maybe they were following the LN that closely so they didn't want a change then it's technically the author's fault lol. Minori's scene was good. haha ya I remember. Ryuji walked in the bathroom, thought Ami was showering but turned out she wasn't(was joking). Then he told Taiga, she went in to 'beat her up' and instead it turned out she was showering and got smacked with the flip flop lol. Funny scenes I will miss sigh. Best Inko scene or one of the best is when Taiga comes back for the first time after ski trip accident and then starts to poke his fat stomach lol. Ryuji at that point was looking depressed and thought that being with Taiga as he thought was the best. Interesting scene imo. ya, he pushed her because he didn't have one. I think she loved him at that point so it made it easier to convince her otherwise I can see her saying, mind your own business or something.

Well, we don't know how long they looked and where. They knew where to look for her since they were standing in that area where she fell down. Maybe it was plot convenience since we could've had Kitamura get it but then I doubt she would've confessed. With Kitamura, she wasn't hanging around him all day but with Ryuji, she was, so imagine how much odder it would be if she confessed to him. That by itself was a big block and she thought it was embarrassing even after the fact. Hair clip was a good idea although he already gave up at that point in the cabin. I think he thought of something like "Taiga, it's not working. Even after what happened, it's like it never happened" or something like that. I'm still not sure about the clip relevance except that it was his and Minori got it so it's like Ryuji indirectly gave her the clip. I do wonder how she found out about the clip though since she asked him later where it was and told him that she doesn't want it.

ya, thinking Dec for sure, after exams for me. I mostly said several since 1 a day is going to be hard to do considering we know how the show progressed lol. 3-5 sounds about right since 1 hour or so of something you already watched can be more tiresome(faster to be tired) than a new show that you are watching since you already know what happened to wanting to know what will happen.

You shut your Taiga loving mouth , she was the worst and you know it. You're way too biased, so biased you started watching Toradora's bastard child Golden Time, we both know how that one is going to end so I doubt I'll watch it lol. They will tease me with a Minori or an Ami in that show and Taiga will win yet again, no thanks D:. Though this Taiga seems older so for me it won't look creepy when she gets together with whoever is the male lead all the girls are drooling over. You know, I WAS talking about White Album before those spoiler tags SO if you read what was in it is your fault lol, you don't have to read everything I put in between spoiler tags haha. Next time I'll write in the spoiler tags "don't read dumb BigFan this isn't a rant" , that way you won't get spoiled further hahaha. You know, I haven't watched Nagi no Asakura's episode 5 so I didn't read what that guy said in spoilers, you should learn lol. Though if you're "spoiled" which you aren't, a lot of other shit happened so you might as well watch the show now and catch up so we can ran.. discuss it, don't you think? :D.

It still makes me angry for some reason, it just seemed like the writers were trying to tell me, "So yeah for those who thought Ami or Minori would get together with Ryuji HA! think again, we're going to make Ryuji and Taiga get married and ELOPE!. Their relationship is way more important than those other silly secondary characters we teased you with*cue evil laugh*". And yeah was also very childish lol, I think it would have evened out by Kitamura proposing to Kanou , let's make that happen.

Yeah it was "nice" but it just sigh it felt like another scene where everyone saw how attached those two were and backed off, completely destroying any chance of Minori REALLY confessing or making any advance and Ami doing anything that was more obvious than what she did before . I really thought she would do something after that episode with the stalker, I felt she was "empowered" by what Ryuji said and took action on her stalker which was really nice, their relationship really advanced at that point and we got to see the real Ami, who was awesome <3. I don't think the ghosts story has anything to do with love, I think it's just how she put it in her mind so she didn't feel weak or girly?. I still think it was her being pretty forward about not wanting a relationship because she feels it would undermine the work she was doing because of the whole thing with her brother? but she said she might want to see ghosts and what not so yeah, it definitely meant a lot to her to say that even if it was very "coded". Not because she wanted to avoid Ryuji but because she wanted to avoid the whole thing but didn't want to at the same time. Complex women, I've met them . You know I've asked myself that question in the past, I think I've had a good 2-3 girls who were coming onto me but I had no idea at the time because my mind was busy with other stuff, but they only happened like once nothing like Ryuji where girls harass him constantly about it lol.
Just wasn't meant to be with Ami, she was so pretty and nice, definitely hated her "fake" model side but she forgot about that when she decided to stay in that town because SHE LIKED RYUJI WHO DIDN'T LIKE HER GRTGSD :@! sigh.

Haha yeah there were quite a few scenes with Inko, that's why he was the show's MVP :p, him and the mom. They were both really funny characters, basically only there to make us laugh except for the last episode lol. It annoyed me quite a bit she ran away as well lol, I didn't really get why she would do that at that point. But oh well she got tricked into going to her parents house and all ends well . She did do that for a while at first lol, like she kept beating him up when he brought up her dad and what not, but he kept feeling shitty because of his issues with his missing father. Yeah that depressed part was interesting, you could see he was FINALLY thinking shit lol, I doubt he thought she was the "best" he just didn't have eyes for anyone else lol. Not like he was making a lists of pros and cons about all 3 girls and picked Taiga haha.

Well I remember there wasn't a blizzard when she went missing, then they were inside when it looked much darker and I would imagine the second she went missing they called the rescue people. So my guess, is for a while, but plot convenience didn't care . I think she was unconscious when Ryuji was carrying her back and she was spouting all that stuff, so regardless of who it was she would have "talked", even easier if it was Kitamura since that's who she thought it was. Hmm also are we talking about her confessing like to Kitamura or TO Kitamura about Ryuji? 'cause that's what I was talking about here. It was just sad to see the hair clip and to see his face, he had this "I was gonna give this to you during christmas... how did you get it?" look on his face. I didn't think it meant a whole lot but it was just one of those things that I felt were relevant at least to Ryuji and well later when Minori talks about it with him as well.

Yeah it's fine a few eps a day is okay, I guess I'll take notes as I watch them so I don't forget and get them blurred together that was the only reason I suggested 1 per day .

Hikari is the typical character from what I saw. He's pretty much naruto tbh. He protects his friends and cares but is pretty hot headed and then matures with time. I guess that's usual. Manaka is an awesome character. Feel sorry for her whenever Hikari would just yell at her even if it's because he's just lost on his feelings. I mean, he yelled at her in the first episode because she didn't wear their old school's uniform >.> My thoughts: Why did Chisaki and Kanama allow that? I mean, looked so wrong but I guess since they are childhood friends, they know that his intentions aren't bad or anything.

Chisaki and her love for Hikari adds another aspect to it. Nice to see that someone understands Manaka and that she's not just stuck by herself with Hikari and Kaname. Kaname, so far, he's been the mature stable one from what I saw. He thinks about things and is pretty calm and collected. I actually didn't anticipate that they would open with Manaka possibly falling in love with Tsumugu after his father's fishing boat catches her in the line lol. Seeing Hikari finally give the land people a try and be a little nicer was good. Only way to change their perception of the sea people.

I still do wonder why they decided to make it that Manaka hears Chisaki's confession though. I guess they are 5 episodes in so it's not that early by anime standards. Still, I mean, we got something like that in Toradora where Taiga accidentally confessed to Ryuji when she was almost unconscious. Plot convenience I guess lol. I'm starting to wonder what she'll do next time since she's obviously taken back knowing her feelings now. Kanama saying that if Manaka hooks up with Tsumugu, then Chisaki gets Hikari to herself was a little bizzare but it's a good point.

The idea that land people and sea people can't be together otherwise they get banished from the sea was a little surprising and honestly I'm not sure what direction the anime will take in regards to that. I mean Akari is already in love and probably will eventually get married to Miuna's dad if the last episode was any indication. I get the feeling that Hikari will get together with Manaka and Chisaki with Kaname. Not sure about Tsumugu but maybe someone else will enter the equation as well so it seems like its straightforward if they do end up getting together but who knows. I'm still wondering how they are going to go 26 episodes into this. Either way, loved it and can't wait for the next episode

To be honest, I'm not so sure that Hikari will end up with Manaka just like that, I mean she does seem to think a lot about Tsumugu so I wouldn't be shocked if things went that way as well. From what I saw, I wouldn't be surprised. Tomorrow I'll finish catching up and give a decent rant .
