holy crap, shit just got real. I guess that explains the ending theme? Shinobu as awesome as ever, story itself seems to be really awesome as well for a change and I can't wait to see the next episode again. I'm staying up until 3-4am to see it as soon as possible, okay it's Saturday but I'm not doing that for other shows. Got to be my #1 this season now
There has to be something else with Mayoi other than them going back and making things right again, right? If this whole story would be a Shinobu/Araragi thing (the way it is right now) I really don't think they'd make the current OP Mayoi only and the ED Shinobu/Mayoi mixed just because Mayoi innitiated the whole thing in 1/4 of an episode.
Or deliberate troll but naaaaah.
There is something but it is 95% Nishio being a troll. Yes, down to the part where Hachikuji announced her merry adventures with Araragi next time/book.
And that is also a troll in itself because fuck Nishio.
hi. never been here before, just started watching anime this year with a proper watching of DBZ, which I saw only intermittently on TV as a kid... also, I usually watch dubbed, because watching is usually passive. When I'm more actively watching (esp. SnK and Ergo Proxy) subs work. When I dedicate to watching a movie (anime or not), I watch it subbed. even if its in english.
Shingeki no Kyojin (watch this weekly with my brother) DBZ:Kai Trigun Darker than Black Ergo Proxy
With DBZ, there was plenty of content, and I had my own fragmented knowledge that was gathered into coherence. Coming into anime for the first time, I was under the impression that there would be more epics like DBZ with a huge amount of content--I was so wrong. Apparently 26 episodes is a full run for most...
Trigun felt like DBZ-gone-western and I liked it. But then...
Darker than Black. Really awesome.
However, Ergo Proxy easily became my favorite, and I was so sad finishing it. There was no aspect of Ergo Proxy that didn't add to my liking as far as I can tell. The philosophical and mythological underpinnings felt as if they could've been explored more thoroughly in another season instead of being forced out as it ended, but, they added depth to the entire package in no small way.
Where should I go next? Do any current anime (other than SnK) fit with my interests? If not, then going further back is fine (5years, 10 years, 15 years...) but I feel that newer animation has spoiled me a bit. DBZ Kai and Trigun were exceptions with them easily holding up to the test of time, but from my cursory glances at others, I'm not so sure.
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Also, there's a recommendation chart on top of this thread.

if there is a season 3 .. or another movie in the future?
Nothing that I've heard of and chances are that there won't be anything more. It has been way too long since the series was popular. With Kyoani having their own publishing house to advertise for there is little chance of them picking it up again.

I haven't read the books, but this arc is called Mayoi Kyonshi/Jiangshi so I've been expecting her to show up as a zombie since the beginning. Then again, there's no guarantee that the two words of the title are directly connected at all. S2 started off slowly, but it's gotten pretty good now.

Maybe I should care, but honestly just seeing more Shinobu makes me happy already. Those tiny bat wings were insanely cute.
Now if only we ever get to see Kizu...
Watching F/KL now. Not sure if I've brought this up before, but knowing that the seiyu for Ruby and Sapphire are the same pair as Kohaku and Hisui cracks me up to no end.

Kaisei was quite good, she was cute enough in book but we never quite saw her. Then they threw in some visuals.
Granted I can't unhear her as Shimakaze now. On the topic of voices, I will now start to trudge through shit because Noto and Kitaeri, let's throw in Hanakana too to make nagi happy.
As for Nishio, all I ever wanted was some Shiogi-chan ;; Instead I get trolled nonstop. But yeah, the whole troll from Neko Shiro to hana, kabuki, and then oni with the advertisement was pretty low zzzz.

yeah I guess. I assumed she'll show up as the last survivor (for whatever reason) because the ED makes it look a lot like that. You know, the last part where Shinobu and Mayoi are standing on top of a lot of skulls?
@all the others: Good to know that I should always watch these assuming troll. I mean already do because someone said so a while ago, but not to that extent

Anyone else think they gave up on fixing things insanely quickly? You can't really think that the shrine is the ONLY source of power they could use, anywhere.

Wasn't the plan 11 years ago to make shinobu drink blood and power her up to get back that way? That should work, shouldn't it? Yeah she said that's risky because she comes closer to her oddity form but lol that was so much a lie and her saving face

Far as the two are concerned, that's the only one they know.

The excuse was that going back to future takes less energy than going to the past, which they'd have to do here.
I was trying to actually look for the layout for whats the prequel and sequel of each other but some sites have it differently, mainly the Monogatari 2nd season being either a sequel to Neko or a sequel to Nise. Thanks.
Side note: I don't want to watch Uchouten so early because then I'll have to wait so long for the next episode

Its pretty obvious that Monogatari Second Season is after Nisemonogatari.
Though the names alone are pretty fucking confusing, so you're forgiven.
