We talk about newer anime all the time where have you been? Also, there are plenty of people who liked Bakemonogatari here and Madoka. Most of them just don't think they're masterpieces or something. Aers is a good example of what I'm talking about though. Don't post something he likes and he'll sperg out. I don't really know why, any normal person just wouldn't react the way he does but I guess he's just not a normal person. It's not the fact that ADT is "Elitist" that makes it unfriendly to "newbs" or whatever, it's behaviour like his that makes you wonder whether you're in a thread with reasonable people with differing opinions, or if you're caring for a child. It's actually pretty embarrassing that people can act this oddly, I don't understand how you can't feel any shame. ZNF completely missed the point of my post too. I didn't say nobody here likes Madoka or Bake, but that when someone brings it up people like Aers will come out and yell "IT WAS TERRIBLE". There's not really any reason to make a post like that but they do. It's like a strange attention whoring contest. I also know that I'm barking at the wrong tree here, but I really would prefer more maturity and realism in my anime. Most anime nowadays is made with rich otakus in mind who spend lots of money to have their fantasies fullfilled. These shows are shallow and only really liked by these outcasts. I want more "mainstream" anime that goes for a wider appeal with, I don't know, good characters and a good plot, or more seinen/josei shows, etc. I'm not saying these shows don't exist or that these shows don't get made anymore, but they are almost non-existant in the romance or SoL genre nowadays. + Show Spoiler + If you want good harems.. eh.. most are there just for entertainment rather than a realistic love story. There are a few good ones that come out every once in a while. Two of my favourites are still Kokoro Connect and Hyouka. But I haven't read Hyouka since I heard it was an actual novel and I just don't have the time to read it. Those are good for romance but they're not really harems. I don't really know why I watch harems like that and Nyaruko anymore. Mostly for the comedy I guess more than actual romance. The kind you want are few and far between, but they still get made every so often. It's just a lot easier to write a decent comedy than it is to write a good romance. | ||

And I may be relatively new to anime but I am pretty sure Hyouka was not a harem + Show Spoiler + Boy didn't even get a single girl nor was more then 1 girl interested in him, she was just curious all the time. | ||
