Soo. I just finished One Outs in like 2 or 3 days. This show is fucking awesome. Normally I think professional baseball is about as entertaining to watch as professional sewing but this show has less to do with baseball than you think. Tokuchi, the main character is freaking awesome. I would nominate him for biggest BAMF ever. He may not be the most intimidating pitcher ever with no pro experience and coming from a gambilng background. He can only throw fastballs and not very fast ones at that. This show is about his mental chess games between him and just about everyone. He joins a team that is outclassed by almost every other team they play and he has to use his somewhat weaker players to lead his team against far better teams, cheating teams, prodigy batters, secret weapon base runners, and even his own fucking owner who makes a deal with him that he gets a decent amount of money for each person he strikes out and he has to pay 10 times that for each person who scores while he is pitching. His owner is more concerned with profit than winning and he tries to set things up so Tokuchi is always in a losing postion. This guy is the biggest BAMF ever because his ability to read people and manipulate them is so great that he could convince his enemies into killing themselves because they over thought him and were convinced it was the only way to stop his evil schemes. Plus, it gives a lot of information about baseball and the intricacies about it that we are not privy to in a steroid ridden MLB from the US.
Sorry if you already knew all this stuff but I just have to share how wonderfully fucking awesome this show is.

And something like utaprince is much worse than say.. I don't really know what you'd class as otaku pandering really except for moe. You could argue most anime is otaku pandering since it's only those who actually buy the things. Utaprince is like twilight in that for the most part it's unenjoyable for everyone except for a certain type of person.
I'm hoping that since they're not showing any love interest in the posters and from what we've seen it won't be too bad. But if it turns into masturbation material for fujoshi I'll be upset.
At least there's that other kyoani animation being made, I can't remember the name at the moment though. Anyone know what I'm talking about? The LN.

Yeah that's the one. I keep seeing it crop up from time to time but not many people seem to be talking about it much. Was thinking of reading it but it's too much for me at the moment. The anime would probably come out by the time I managed to dictionary my way through it.

Think you missed Victory Gundam in there somewhere. 00 first season won't mean much if you don't finish it to second season. It just stops at like a halfway mark with a really stupid ending that leads into the second season.
