If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.ggFor currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net |
I can watch about 8 hours a day of anime sometimes.
Granted i watch none for days because I end up doing all my stuff then, and then I just have a free day. Sometimes I'll go do other things but other times I like to try finish a season of something on my backlog.
Less than 4 days now until KyoAni save anime with an announcement. Please don't be swimboys.

What's the big deal? Iono. I try to watch anime with moderation now so I don't go out of control. 10 hours just seems way too much when I can be getting something done with my life. One is never too old to watch 10 hours of anime.

Don't want to go down that route.

Still a little undecided about ZZ, does CCA make any sense if you skip ZZ? Yes! You must + Show Spoiler + watch ZZ to understand CCA and thus Unicorn. :D

I understood CCA fine without ZZ, it's one of my favourites... >_>

Even better!
Also Kamiya and Oohara (though I'd be impressed if she could pull off a trap-chara) both were in H&C.

I finished TurnA in 3 days. I was young.
But seriously 10hours is ezpz, if the anime/manga was really good. I have anime/manga gene in my blood!!!

I watched whole Madlax while waiting for my flight (early AM flight so I spent the night at airport).

oh btw Date a live episode 4 was out today so I watched episode 2, 3 and 4 after only checking out episode 1 yesterday because it did look weird enough to make it interesting for me. It's actually quite enjoyable if you don't expect anything big out of it. It is quite generic harem comedy. The setting is rather weird and the only thing missing are surfing zombie nazies attacking hawaii I guess.
+ Show Spoiler [episode 4] +Episode 4 went down *that* road a bit more but it's somewhat funny if you don't mind it and as long as it doesn't continue going more and more down that road it's fine for me. Lol'ed at his sis' complete change of character when he offered her to take the bath first.
Not sure if it's supposed to be a parody but it does feel like Baka test or Yugioh to me right now. With that weird "fighting" mechanism (I'm talking about the dating sim things popping up out of nowhere and the advisors on the ship ) that everyone knows to be complete bullshit that's made up, not explained, won't ever be explained, will have changed rules on a whim or will have super special extra rules that are needed for this one episode, in this one very specific case that will never ever be the case again for the entirety of the anime and will never be seen / mentioned again. You know, just like yugio and baka test fighting system felt like (at least to me :p). It's funny if you treat it like a parody I guess.
Oh and I did watch and finish Haiyore! Nyaruko-san. Thanks to those 2 who mentioned it. The first couple of episodes were really what I was looking for. It felt quite forced later on and got a little worse but still a good laugh and like I just said, really what I was looking for. Going to check out the 2nd season next.

I don't feel it's like Baka to Test or Yugioh (really?), it is somewhat similar to Kare wa Zombie though.

The "fighting" system is just retarded, just like in those 2 I mentioned. Not sure if it's supposed to be trashy on purpose right now :p

Still a little undecided about ZZ, does CCA make any sense if you skip ZZ? Didn't I already answer this question when you asked it the first time? I don't think CCA is good enough to warrant trying to skip things just to get to it. Its a good movie, but it has some pretty serious problems.
On April 23 2013 02:05 Elem wrote: I understood CCA fine without ZZ, it's one of my favourites... >_> I dunno how its possible for CCA to be one of someone's favorites, considering the flaws that movie has.
On the subject of ZZ and CCA, assuming you watched Zeta: + Show Spoiler +ZZ picks up directly after the end of the battle at Grypts. The Titans have been destroyed, but that is all the resolution that is there. The AEUG took heavy losses with much of their own forces getting destroyed in the battle, and many many key members getting killed or otherwise incapacitated. Haman and the Axis Zeon on the other hand, came out of the battle with relatively light losses compared to the other two participants. For all intents and purposes, while they lost tactically, the Grypts Conflict was a strategic victory for Axis, with both the Titans being gone and the AEUG exhausted, they are now the "Big Fish" in the pond, even more so than they already were. So now what happens?
If you skip ZZ Gundam, you will have no idea about the events that happen after this, obviously, and you will just plop yourself into a political atmosphere/situation in CCA that makes little sense unless you actually give zero shits about the above, in which case you probably shouldn't even be watching UC Gundams in the first place.
As an aside, one comment I've seen made in jest a lot, which has some truth to it, is that CCA is best understood if you didn't watch either Zeta or ZZ, and just jumped into it after finishing the original. lol

Yeah watching anime is literally the only thing ive watched for 12+ hours.

I only ever watched it when I had nothing else to do, tbh kamille in the beginning was pretty damn annoying, and it took a bit of time to look past the old quality and animation.

The animation in Zeta was great, I don't know how THAT could have bothered you.

Zeta is awesome, dunno how its possible to stall it so much. For fun, rough slow march through gundam stats so far. Had seen msg movies, zeta and some of the ovas years ago, also some au stuff but not there yet.
+ Show Spoiler [time between start and finish] +mobile suit gundam 61days + time for first 9 episodes not quite sure when I started
8th ms, stardust and other ovas 81 days
Zeta 99 days
ZZ 148 days
unicorn 3 days or so
victory 30 episodes in 60 days
While watching other stuff, taking 5 months to finish fsn, last few dresden audiobooks and other nonsense. Oh and 3 months of slowly reading rewrite, 2 and 1/2 routes left or so. Don't feel like marathoning stuff still, other than I guess catching up on manga.
|
Yeah I used to just marathon through VN's, but im taking Rewrite real slow, only 2 routes finished so far and i've started it ages ago.
