As some of you may remember, I have already had a Shiranui Second, Tarisa custom. This one was in the recent MLA: Total Eclipse anime, the dark blue one piloted by Chobi. I think there are like 3 different color variations for Shirnaui Second plamos out, I just got Tarisa's because I liked its colors best. Anyway, I put them side by side to show the differences:


Due to my masterful work of the Camera, you actually can't see the biggest difference (other than color) very well. The shoulders are very different. Additionally, the big "ears" on the Shiranui are both very different. And there are a bit of minor, cosmetic differences here and there. And finally, I really sucked at building Plamos back then, lol. I can see a bunch of nub marks from where I cut pieces from its tree on the Shiranui Second. You can probably see some on my new one, but they are much less pronounced, and are shaved down to nothing, and looks much less sloppy.

Alot of other differences between the two are simply Kotobukiya getting better at designing these things. This is honestly the best Kotobukiya kit I've ever put together. Barely anything falls off!!! Other than the one problem it they didn't fix from the Second, which is the top of its foot keeps popping off. But that is literally the only problem I have with this kit. The old Shiranui Second annoyed the crap out of me with certain parts falling off, but this one doesn't.

Oh, and for those wondering, both come with the same weapons. 4 Guns, 2 Swords, 2 Knives. I just had the Second posed with all 4 guns, while I posed the Type-94 with the equipment Takeru used. Oh yeah, this version also comes with a Shield, the Second doesn't.
