It's a lot more toned down in comparison to OP1 (less hotbloodedness). But man, that visual style. I'm usually pretty wary of the use of CG in anime, but it's been used so well in these OPs that I fully approve. There's also a ton of little details that really help. The nods to the manga. The sketch-like animation of the pillar men. Heck, even the animation of the text is done with superb JoJo-like flair. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more. This would easily be my favorite show of the season (especially since we're onto Battle Tendency in all of Joseph's glory) if Teekyuu wasn't so damn good. On an unrelated note, only one Kyousogiga OVA left. I really wish we had a full series for it. | ||

SAO is the biggest let down for me. It had a great start, and then... shit happened On the same genre, I've found Accel World to be much more interesting (while the main guy was quite annoying) | ||

Anime simply never took the effort to establish it properly so it looks retarded. Much as I hate on SAO, the weird OP shit isn't one of the things I'd complain about...at least in the LN. | ||

GGO might be better than ALO, but seeing as how atrocious ALO was, it isn't hard to be better than that. Doesn't mean GGO is any good. And following that, what do we get? A really long Asuna story (which is essentially a side story, also bad), and another side story volume that has already been partly covered. They won't touch Alicization, seeing as how that story is going to be at LEAST 3 volumes and is still ongoing. | ||
