SAO had equipment shops where you could buy stuff, I assume Alfheim has them too. In this episode when he blocked the knight's sword with his hand, that could have easily been a second sword and would have saved him some health. It was illusion magic. No need for quotes. Thats like the one thing his race, Spriggan or whatever, is good at. It didn't give him any bonus stats or anything. What it did was cast an illusion that made Kirito look like a giant monster. So he did still kill them all. It just looked like he killed them all by transforming into a giant monster due to his illusion. It intimidated the those armored dudes enough to break their defensive formation, allowing him get in there and kill them. As for this episode, with these Guardians, those are NPC creeps. They don't get intimidated. Since ALO is running the same engine more or less as SAO, he knows how the enemy AI works from his 2 year SAO experience. | ||

Well it's certainly a filler arc. Looks like it's a prequel arc to the new Z movie. Makes a bit more sense why they'd have the arc now, but still annoying we gotta wait a few weeks before it gets back on track. | ||

For the Brood War players here, I'd like us to try something: No more whining. No whining about cheese, about races, about units, about spells, whatever. Stop it. First, I personally think it's dumb. Second, it's not conducive to winning. Let me illustrate. A month ago I was in the middle of a tournament Bo5 PvZ. We were 1-1; I had just lost to a well played defense and runby vs gate first FE transitioned into hydra lurk. Under pressure I got really mad at lurkers and got on IRC and complained like a little bitch about how Zerg was a stupid race and whatnot. I ended up losing that series 1-3, and then had a month-long slump where I had less than 20% winrate in PvZ. Why? Because when I whine about how lurkers are stupid and dark swarm makes Zerg shit invincible, implicit with those complaints is the hidden, but poisonous, sentiment that I can't beat them. That is wrong. Any of us can beat anything. Verbalizing the complete opposite of that does us no services. | ||
