I was curious, any anime explore the theme of dead/zombie or even post-apocalyptic world in a serious way?
I'm approaching the last episode of Claymore. Sad sad, I enjoyed the show. I've read that the manga is different and the anime created stuff for the last episodes. Are the manga worth reading?
Dunno about Zombies but for post apocalyptic-ish, you have Ergo Proxy.

Try Shiki + Show Spoiler +Vampires not Zombies, but in Shiki they're similar to Zombies in the way they act sometimes

blue gender is kinda post apocalyptic. O-o

Sankarea is a pretty interesting zombie manga. I actually did like reading it... quite a bit. Not sure about the anime though.

The Claymore manga is like 1000x better than the anime, the anime was pretty faithful till the last few episodes where it gutted the story. If you enjoyed the anime you should love the manga.

Gotta disagree. Claymore follows the manga scene for scene until the last couple of episodes. They are mirror images of each other. I really enjoy both and yes, the manga continues the story far after the anime, but what was actually animated is one of the most faithful adaptions of a long-running manga that I've seen (besides the end, as mentioned, which was a necessity due to the anime ending while the manga continued. Cliffhanger or new ending are the only two options).
|
I'd much prefer second option. It remains faithful, a natural lead-in for audience to follow manga, and leave possibility of sequel open. You can only screw with ending once (unless you are ZnT or Shana, where you just take it and run to weird places)

I just finished book 8 of Pandora. And the differences are already showing!!!
And wow, so many stuffs were revealed XD

+ Show Spoiler [Hayate 3] +HINAAAAAAA! <3 so technically this is confirmed to be alternate universe and not just set ahead of time since this deito already happened in the manga but they mention how it was a first. of course, it could always just be bad storyboarding for the sake of animating Hina material. meh, I don't care cause I got Hina. Now if only we got some A-tan.

You do realise you both just said the same thing right ? You just have different reactions to it. Or are you insinuating that the ending wasnt gutted, because it was,
The circumstances that caused that to happen are rather irrelevant, because even anime original endings can be fine and its not like they didnt leave it at a "to be continued" They just wanted to force Priscilla v Clare in cuz its wellll.... Priscilla v Clare.

+ Show Spoiler [Denpa Kyoushi 46] +... eh, I thought Mimori was the school chairman for some reason, until I finally got to the last page.
I keep getting confused by the plot halfway, but damn, I can't decide if I like this or Nisekoi more.

Well, they already said it would be original story written by Kenjiro specifically for S3.

Hello fellow TLers. I have just started taking piano lessons today and my piano teacher was interested in the types of music that I have taught myself so far (consists purely of Zelda and Touhou songs). My main musical interests are anime and video game music (lol). So I was wondering what anime songs would sound good on the piano and weren't extraordinarily difficult to play. I wanted to be able to show him some sheet music eventually once we got far enough.
So far, the current anime songs that I think sound good on the piano and I have are: Neon Genesis Evangelion intro (cruel angel's thesis) Every Heart from Inuyasha To Lovers End from Inuyasha Tori no uta from Air (intro) Hare Hare Yukai and Bouken Desho Desho from Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
I'd look through all suggestions and add them to the list for potential songs I'd show my teacher. So TL, what are your favorite anime songs?
