The Hiiragi Kappei was pretty good imo. Also Tomoyo route had a lot of scenes not in the anime. Pretty good VN overall, I also think the execution of After Story was done better in the VN

Uhm, did second raid cover vol 5 too, or (I assume it did since it's p2 of ending day by day)?

Yes it did, TSR is both DBD volumes. Very merry xmas is perfect for a OVA, then rest make a 26 ep series to finish it off, or 2x 26 ep and mix in some side stories.
Of course there is not much room to put in side stories once finish On My Own storyline

It's a little odd because I started reading vol 5 and there's stuff I can't recall at all from the anime, heh. New characters and such (Lemon, Nami), but maybe I just have a terrible memory. Those characters aren't on the character list on MAL so I'm assuming it wasn't in the anime... gah.

How about we put Kuroyukihime and Kirito in the same anime. That would probably make me happy (after all, unlike Haru, Kirito does have SOME likeable qualities...).

Eh, TSR did a really good job, like turning anonymous killer bros into twincest assassins

uhmm I think you might be reading BOMF which is vol 8. The links are fucked up on that website. So clicking on Ending Day by Day directs you to the BOMF translation.
Vol 5 is this..

Absolutely. Alot of shit goes down, its almost tragic how the rest of FMP isnt going to get animated in the future just for the action alone. From just the anime (and Fumo in particular) people get this idea in their heads that its just a sol highschool comedy with mechs.

saw the first episode and thought it was cool. + Show Spoiler +Then the next 3 drift little by little from the main story. Basically skipped through the 4rth because they lost me at that point, and if they continue this trend of 1 set of characters every episode then bleh

+ Show Spoiler [Sword Art Online 02] +Was a okay episode this time, music was really good though. And Asuna is very likeable o/
Only thing that bugs me is the stupid guys making rash accusations. Theyre supposedly adults in their late 20's, and they cant think rationally. Might as well make them 12 year olds, then it woulda been more believable.
Other than Im enjoying the series pretty well. I get that generic feeling whenever they start organizing raid parties etc, cause I used to be a hardcore raider in the past. But Im sure Ill get over it in no time.

Well, in ep3 I recognized the + Show Spoiler +moment so badly it's not even funny. Well, not exaclty an exact copy of my experiences, but something similar, lol (only played WoW really).

Well, the comedy was a pretty big part of the anime for me, but I liked the other half of it as well. Main complaint I had personally with it ending was that I'm a sucker for romance so I wanted more of that, haha. For some reason I really liked that haircutting scene or what it was. Oh well, better start reading now that I'm on the correct volume...

wtf ppl praising SAO. I thought it was some funtime plotless ecchi moeblobbyfobbu ; ;> ). (Not that theres anything wrong with that!!)
Maybe I should check it out .............. oh
|
yeah I thought SAO was really promising at first because I like fantasy RPG =). So far though, I read up to vol 5 and it was disappointing but still better than Accel World...
Personally I recommend checking out Yureka, a Korean manga which is pretty similar to both SAO and AW but better in my opinion.

After reading 5 volumes of SAO, I like Accel World more, cuz mecha avatars pew pew. Also, no Sugou.

I prefer SAO over Accel World though. SAO actually has someone who's good at games. Even though Accel World's MC was recruited into Accel World for being "good at games" he sure as hell doesn't prove it for being the absolute scrub that he is. It's like recruiting some guy who was good at Farmville to play pro BW. He only gets by by being "special", and even then it's just barely.
Maybe I just prefer SAO because I would prefer MMOs over a fighting game. Although, reading through novel talks of SAO, it sounds like it's just + Show Spoiler +a bunch of dumb game hopping and something about dutch wives. Honestly, if you escaped from one game that tried to kill you, why the fuck do you go back into another one, made by the SAME GUY? At least the SAO game looks good so far, I don't know exactly what the other games ALO or w/e entails.

Actually, it might have been better if we don't call it SAO and instead call it "Kirito and his MMORPG adventures". That would have been a better name considering how the later parts of the novels proceed. Furthermore, another weakness in Kawahara's writing is that any side characters he introduced are basically used and thrown and forgotten. In the SAO novels, all the girls are generally forgotten until their arc/until Calibur arc. In AW, Taku and Chiyu basically are more like cameo characters instead of side characters in favor of the old members of Nega Nebula in the later novels.
In regards to Kirito vs Haru, I would rather read a story of someone who has more chance of character growth over someone who's nearing the status of jesus. And Haru does get more badass in the later arcs(Though with the help of some equipment).

I heard SAO is going through the side stories? How long do you think this will take? I read most of the novels and all I really wanna see are the action scenes and the lightsaber.

Kirito did it because + Show Spoiler +to rescue his e-girlfriend!
Without the side stories then the mainstory could end in two eps. + Show Spoiler +Basically the first volume (entire storyline of SAO) is made up of Kirito gets trapped in game -> tries out virtual sex -> finds the GM is trolling them. The end.
In comparison to Accel World, you can tell the similarities between the two MCs with the exception that one is badass the other is cringe worthy.
