Watched deadman wonderland, seemed ok-ish but it really needs a second season + Show Spoiler +Even if its obvious its gonna be a "go kill Shiro because she killed my classmates who got only 20 seconds of screentime" now im 3 episodes into Another, i seem to enjoy this alot more than deadman wonderland, really interesting so far + Show Spoiler +btw, they don't make umbrellas like that anymore for a reason ^_^

I liked the first half or so of Another, then it sort of got turned into Final Destination: the anime. Which was... entertaining, but in the wrong way.

I still enjoyed the anime but it really suffers from that we still dont know when season 2 will come.
And Another is really cool and interesting until like ep 7 or so. Then it just takes a nosedive and becomes comedy.

Please tell me there is even more Tsukihi after this; from what I see, no more Tsukihi is translated. Good thing Neko Black is next on the adaption list. I am so looking forward to this. here's a quote for Nagi so he'll read faster (or just read Tsukihi chapter in Black) Show nested quote +"Look at me, brother" Said Tsukihi, and she untied her sash and took off her yukata. She exposed even her brassiere beside her panties. She folded the yukata on the side and turned this way, and not just the panties or brassiere but even the knee socks she was wearing were uniformly white. Total coordination. And then Araragi Tsukihi posed on her knees.
"How is it? I look serious, pure and clean, right?"
Finished Nekomonogatari (white). Was good imo, but I wish more than half of Black was translated. I'll read what I can, though, since the Tsukihi stuff seems awesome, lol.

Yep the ending was terribly awkward and could hardly be called an ending, I'm still hoping to see a second season someday. I really liked the setup.

As someone who's only read the manga for Deadman, does the anime follow closely? If so, where does it cut off?

Chinatsu's a bitch but her route was interesting except for Kou's mindboggling decisions. I guess love = blindness...
+ Show Spoiler +Well, can't really blame Chinatsu for being too bitchy when its an open competition for Kou during the school days considering her competitors(Crying childhood friend and a tsundere whose AI counterpart saved her ass a lot of times). Furthermore, getting yourself saved and getting the most expensive cybernetics parts that were existent at that time would definitely make you fanatically loyal to your savior.
Imo, Rain >>>>>> Chinatsu > Nanoha.

It cuts off right after
+ Show Spoiler +The ultra priest guy with the guitar, and the resistance leader guy with the machine voice die ( sorry I don't remember their names it's been a while). And then he sits with shiro on top of some huge building while she sings the woodpecker song.

"How is it? I look serious, pure and clean, right?" If they make that crowbar figure for Tsukihi, they have my money. Season 2 was great in that often we have Tsukihi, Gahara-san and Shinobu being the plot driving force. No Nadeko is bliss.

E7AO OST holy ****, so good! TT
the music is in this anime is absolutely my taste, including the first OP and ED, the 2nd ones weren't as good but still.
+ Show Spoiler +OP lightning guitar version (on the single) + gives me chills ^.^
also thanks guys for talking about kokoro connect, such an anime would normally slip under my radar, but it is quiter entertaining so far.

I assume that there's nowhere with more of Nekomonogatari Black translated than Baka tsuki? Only like 3,5 chapters translated ):
On another note, starting G-Senjou no Maou now, any recommendations regarding routes and such? How do they work in G-Senjou?
|
They're detours. They all suck. The VN sucks. Enjoy the suckage.
At least the prologue's godly though.

I'm going to risk exposure to suckage since some people seem to like it a lot. Thanks for the warning, though.

Routes are pretty straightforward; pretty much every major branch point, the VN asks you "Are you sure you want to go down her route?" and "Are you really sure?"
I recommend reading the main story to the end first, then going back for the other routes.
P.S. Recommend Sharin no Kuni: Himawari no Shoujo. Made by same company, came before G Sen, consensus here is that it's better overall. Also has Wakamoto (aka ALL HAIL BRIIIITANNIAAAAA)
@Sent: Loving the side stories, thanks for posting the translations <3 Akane, was one of my favs On a side note, I wonder how + Show Spoiler +the whole erasure thing works. From her Sadogashima memories, does she remember 20+ Fort class spontaneously moving out of their way for no reason and then imploding?

+ Show Spoiler +Pfft, Akane remembers it as her owning them herself. That self confidence boost
Edit: VN:s worth playing through if you have watched their anime adaptions?
Clannad/Afterstory, Kanon, Air, Steins;Gate, Tsukihime (anime adaption supposed to be bad), Chaos;Head (anime adaption supposed to be bad), Requiem of the Phantom/Phantom of Inferno, Higurashi, Umineko (anime didn't make much sense in the end).
|
I haven't played Higurashi/Umineko yet but the rest are definitively worth it. Especially C;H, Clannad (before After Story) and Tsukihime when compared to the anime adaptations.

I can vouch for Clannad, S;G, and Tsukihime Kanon is decent-ish I don't think Air has been translated yet?
As for non-anime VN, I saw Katawa Shoujo mentioned earlier, seconded. Also how did I forget to suggest: Ever 17
On a random note: VNs have had a positive impact on me: MLA got me to start doing daily pushups, Katawa Shoujo got me back into daily jogging. XD
Edit: Found some old Nanoha 4komas while digging around for images

Air got translated halway through some years ago.

That guy restarted the 4komas on his pixiv account a while ago but randomly stopped again after posting like 2, lol.
