They are ending it in one cour no doubt. Ep3 and already went through 2 short stories, so they'll probably place main arc at 5~6 episodes (4~5 left) and digest the rest w/ SS, which adds up to about 12. Then spend 12 on ALO all the way to vol4 end.
Or basically looking for 3 seasons 5 cours or something.

Also prefer "real" romance over huge harems... look, if the main character has nothing likeable about him (except that he looks like a pig and pigs are cute), then why does he get a huge fucking harem of girls after him? I have no problem with people getting a harem if they actually have some likeable quality, but... meh. Haru has wings. Bitches love wings.

They both can't handle each others' nationalism. Yui loves Japan and fights vehemently on its behalf. Everything she does is for Japan. Meanwhile Yuuya has an incredible hatred for all things Japan, because it's the accursed race that made him have to suffer everything he has. But then later on in Volume 2, which is a Side Story volume, a good 1/4th of the LN is dedicated to this story. There was some stuff cut out, but nothing major.

Due to medium, its obviously not gonna pound into us his own thoughts as he narrates the story to us in first person, like how the LN was written. Still showed he was beat up about it, I dunno how much more you can expect.

Well stuff like Klein's line to him at the end just makes no sense really if you didn't know how he was basically suicidal during the entire preparation period since he learned about the quest.
