Its for your own good, a satisfactory climax caused brains to explode when they tested it I hear. If not they were sliced clean in half. + Show Spoiler + Cheerio.

I have mixed feelings about the show. Screams Code Geass but the protag is more annoying really. We get to see some likeable chars like wheelchair-girl and nekomimi-girl, but they don't get developed at all. We know about as much about them on ep. 3-4 as in episode 22. The first half was likeable to me, with the Code Geass-esque fighting the evil governing foreigners that kill for fun. After ep.12 it was inevitably time for the protag to grow and we got the usual guilt trip + temporary insanity treatment. The angst was pretty bad, and of course the girl with the unrequited love had to die to 1) trigger it 2) to focus on the already obvious Shuu+Inori love... The Undertakers idea got recycled and they completely took a backseat for the following events. The quarantine and the last fight looked suspiciously like Darker than Black. I was also hoping there would be more mech fights. Also in the last episode Gai turning into this super good guy who was depressed and decided to turn evil so Shuu could have someone to defeat and become savior? What. The. Fuck. The plot jumps around quite a bit, never really explaining a lot. They introduce many concepts and leave them hanging. Well, there are still a lot of things I could write, but I'm not sure how to express them yet. Overall I was hoping for a bit darker, more serious plot I guess. The animation was good, soundtrack awesome and fights mindless fun. Wish they'd fix the characters and plot a bit, thought. Best way to describe it is: wasted potential?

Best way to describe it is: wasted potential? + Show Spoiler + In general I agree with you, though I'd personally bitch a lot more about the finale and ending. But aside from that, the show would've needed less weird plot twists and more character developement (including but not limited to Inori, she didn't develop enough IMO). I also really liked the first half, then second half is worse and finale + end was terrible imo. And yeah, wasted potential is a good way to describe it. Random note: if you have this Bandage void that can heal just about anything... Y U NO TRY TO HEAL WHEELCHAIR GIRLS LEGS!? Just finished Another, and... + Show Spoiler + ...with the exception of a few really stupid scenes it was good. Should've made a lot of the deaths less "obvious death incoming", though. Also sadly the stairs + umbrella death was no surprise for me since friend told me about it so I saw it coming from miles away ): ...question is what to watch now. Guess I'll try getting myself through the first said to be boring half of Nanoha StrikerS since the second half is supposed to be awesome.

Normally people make up by having sex overnight (Horizon witches). But I guess a 3 way yuri kiss works too. I thought it was a bit corny how quickly they all made up, but at least the season stopped starting off to such a tense atmosphere now. Jersey bu tamashi, jersey bu tamashi!!!

wonder if it's the case thru every episode. Hopefully there will b emore than just the grievance around protagonist. + Show Spoiler + i assume every char presented is already in the hell and its discovered in last episodes. e:ill watch mononke first, looks and feels heck interesting midway thru 1st ep. e: rly love any ancient story type visual animation.

Yea its not really that good for the episodic style it tries to implement and theres like fragments and snipets of an overarching plot thrown in. At the end they just fast forward wrap it up throw in a resolution (which only sets you up for season 2. Quite a chore working through it. Mononoke soooo much more awesome prob my fav show if I had to pick one.

TL's opinion overall is distinct from ADT vets, you'll find. Overall it's pretty positive though. But if you decide to watch it, don't complain until after you've seen the first eight or so episodes.
