Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, maybe. Not that similar, but...
If you like people having special powers, I'd also recommend To aru majutsu no Index and To aru kagaku no Railgun.
As a bonus I'll recommend Ga Rei Zero.
Cheers thanks a lot. I'll have a good look at those, and hopefully use them to find more!
He probably is serious about recommending it, but Ga Rei Zero could be considered a troll rec in some circles hehe
Phantom is a good anime, I think you'll enjoy it too c:
IDK what circles you are talking about, but IMO Ga Rei Zero is legit, and seriously good. I never watched Darker than Black, so I dunno about the actual rec here, but Ga Rei Zero is at least miles and miles better overall than Index and Railgun.
Yeah, I don't think she's dead either. Given that I like Mix and Zessica and don't like Mikono, these recent episodes just have me shaking my head. Bleh.
I didn't think this belonged in kmd as much and I know less about korean music than I do about anime, so yeah. So amazinguu~~ Natsume Yuujinchou!
Finally, someone who likes Kpop and Anime and posts in TLADT.
:D

Ga-rei zero was excellent for a 12 episode series. And Darker than black was pretty meh imo. Index and railgun as recommendations? I dont even..

Gundam Unicorn: FUCK NOW I GOTTA WAIT A YEAR GOD DAMNIT + Show Spoiler +
Also, the episode was cool, had lots of Bright being awesome and some cool Cameos, but wasn't as good as the past few IMO. Those Asshimars were pretty cool, though. And dem Bits.
FA Unicorn next time.
And if that one nutcase comes back into this thread, and says something like "the fights has no suspense, because shit blow up when the director says so, and dodge beams when indefinitely when it suits otherwise" again, I'm gonna lose it.

It is all the funnier when the praise is also mixed with comparison of how it is better than DtB and Index/Railgun. Kettle, pot.
Okay I look to Ecael as the patron saint of saying it is okay not to like grz and will say that I really didn't like all of it but especially first ep. Have had some bad experiences being the only one to have certain opinions about certain things so I'm always careful to tread carefully in order not to piss everybody else off

Don't think I ever denied that Sent!
Think I'll dig up the books I downloaded for UC because the fight wasn't epic.

GRZ has an average idea and executes it by offing a more promising cast to bring in a stereotypical story with little in the ways of novelty both character or plotwise. The way it was handled wasn't entirely bad, but it isn't anything to go crazy over either.
I agree, thought it was like Angel Beats (in enjoyability, though Angel Beats might have been marginally better for its soundtrack). It was entertaining enough during the 12/13 eps for which it lasted, but I didn't find it worth any particular acclaim >.<

IMO need to be braver, rather than agree with me in one post, and then agree with the Dark Lord Eca in the next lol. Anyway, opinions are fine till you say you like Code Geass. + Show Spoiler +
Btw that was a funny joke I just made.
Real talk, Ga Rei Zero's first episode was legitimately the best first episode I've ever seen in anime, not even from a troll-stand point, although it was that too.

juejue, welcome to my world.
But really, watch what you want. In my experiences, my standards for anime are so much lower than anyone else's in ADT, and I'm sure everyone here knows that it's gotten me loads of flak. I'm fine with knowing that I can watch shit anime and have a good time with it. Shit taste is best taste
Eh, I liked Brave Song and the rocket chairs were amusing (I am easily entertained) :> + Show Spoiler +
Does that count as a good joke too? :D
Probably sucked hardcore for you guys because you guys get significantly more exposure?
Regarding Code Geass.....first season wasn't garbage, but it was really the 2nd season not only being bad but breaking completely from the first's general setup that killed it imo

My standards aren't necessarily low, maybe just different. Sometimes high I guess. Still have yet to find a[n anime] series that has actually satisfied me, tbh. To date, haven't watched any series that I felt were good and closed well. Most of the good ones are too long for me atm lol

Gundam Unicorn: Apparently the OVA has differed alot from the novel with the past few episodes. + Show Spoiler +
Apparently Marida was supposed to have been killed by Riddhe in the past episode, or something, IDK. But with a living Marida, and them linking back up with the Nahel Argama, which took on the damaged Kshatriya... We might get to see that sexy motherfucker repaired and sent back into battle, and then I can fap to it again!!!

What's known as the front-lines era, as Japan walked toward war. There was a gathering place known as "hitogata" (humanoid) in the mountains toward the snow-covered northern continent. One night, there, in the land where practitioners manipulate clay figures known as "hinnasama," a girl was murdered. FMA Brotherhood closed pretty well if you've seen it. I feel I get more into the Visual Novels than the anime's themselves, you can really set the pace for yourself. If you watch shit anime and are enjoying yourself, I want your powers, that sounds absolutely delightful (⌒_⌒)
I enjoyed Angel Beats a lot, despite all the flak people give it. Partly because im a huge key fan and it was nice eye candy

Hm...that's a good point. I find myself marathoning VNs whenever I get my hands on one, though, and end up remorseful for sinking half a day's worth of hours continuously :/ no self-control
Ah, I'll check FMA Brotherhood out. I didn't like what I watched of the original FMA that much, but maybe brotherhood is a lot better.
Unfortunately for shit anime enjoyment powers you'll have to turn to apocalypse though hehe
Also *to date*, not *to day*, man I have weird typos and disconnections of brain that make it seem as if it's my first yaer in English as a second language...and as if I'm retarded. Could have just gone with the second part.
