Why does the art look exactly like in K-On I'm a bit scared of watching it already...

Meh, people can't have been expecting for the animation to actually turn out like the concept drawings? The art might be similar, but everything else felt really different. I could get a slap in the face a couple of episodes down the line, I suppose, you'd think I would've learned from 11eyes and all these other things.

lol what do you mean, in what way?
Shauni gets violent allergic reactions to moeblob.
Kyoto Animation the studio that did K-ON is basically run by the Character designer and Animation director Yukiko Horiguchi, which Toshihumi Akai has also done a lot of work for as well as with. Toshihumi Akai was recently quoted as saying that he was a huge fan of Yukiko’s K-ON, so either he is paying his respects, or profiting off of K-ON’s huge (in my opinion totally undeserved) success or he basically stole the design, because honestly, they are practically Xerox copies and everyone says the exact same thing.

Well, only the first episode is out, but thus far I have to say that other than the drawing, it doesn't feel like k-on at all. Frankly, it doesn't particularly matter if he stole the character design - there is no way anything animated would look close to the concept art in the first place. It isn't going to be exactly easy to make a light hearted comedy out of this, as that contributes far more to k-on's moeblob status than merely the character design, why dwell on the latter?
Then again, they can do a doubletake and somehow revamp the show toward that direction, I should hope not.
Angel Beats is going to be this April it seems? I am looking forward to it, even if it looks like Haruhi somehow
No I didn't comment on the show itself, just that the drawings are disgustingly alike and therefore I'll have problem watching it without unconsciously relating to the retarded K-On characters. Some of them look REALLY alike.

Fall 09 was not that bad. Kimi ni Todoke, Railgun, Darker than Black, Seitokai, Kampfer... I see a lot of genres covered here. Not to say that some (Kampfer) was good, but it wasn't BAD.
There have been much worse seasons...
Rozen Maiden is ok... Not much else to say about it.

NO. Kimi ni Todoke was relatively cute but all these 'oh he's so kind to me ohh I can't take it anymore' moments made it too much. It's basically same thing all way through. Not bad, but not very good either. Compare it to Honey and Clover which shares the same art and mood and it doesn't stand a chance.
Railgun? How did they even ... how would 2 borderline lolis running around in a city playing guards and solving stupid mysteries become a good show? The jokes are repetitive, the characters are also repetitive and my ears bleed from Kuroko's voice. It's funny sometimes but easily forgettable. Sure, anything is better than Index but it wasn't that much better.
Darker than Black? Not exactly bad either, but with plot holes and new confusing characters added in every episode, it felt rushed and when it ended it was more like 'oh ok' than a real conclusion. It was definitely a disappointment if you watched the first season.
Seitokai? I can't really criticize slapstick reference comedies because I dislike yet enjoy most of them by nature, but I don't see how this was any special to previous ones. I don't know about you but sitting around a table and making reference jokes to other anime becomes a bit tedious after a couple of episodes. At least Lucky Star had some sort of slice of life happenings in it.
Kampfer? I don't even think I have to comment on this one lol.
I believe this season was very easily forgettable, I seriously only found Aoi Bungaku worthwhile after watching all of them for a while...

Probably just difference in taste then. I saw all of Darker than Black Season 1 but I just didn't care enough to see Season 2. THe powers were decently cool, the art was very nice, musical score and settings were interesting, but I couldn't connect with any of the characters. I understand it's because as superpeople (forgot their name) just don't have emotions anymore, but I find that a very difficult concept to work with. Seeing as much of my enjoyment is found in connecting emotionally with a character.
Haven't seen Railgun. But wikiing it, it actually sounds interesting! T_T Dno how I missed it. Kampfer/Kimi/Seitokai are more not my taste. I'm more of an action, superpowers shounen type fan. really didn't like Book of Bantorra, Kobato etc.
Thanks for the recommendation though. I'll try to track down Railgun. Know anywhere that streams it?
I just started watching Kanon. I don't know anything about it, other than it's by the same people who did Clannad. So far, it's so much harder to get into than Clannad was. I'm on the fourth episode, spread out over a week (sometimes not even watching a whole episode in a sitting), and I don't really have much of an opinion on it yet. It's just really slow.
Rozen Maiden gave birth to so many countless internet memes, it's almost a must watch for that reason alone.
I watched the trailer for Omamori Himari...now, I realize that it was like 7 years (I think) ago that I read the manga, but I don't remember it being this much of a blatant T&A series.

Yeah, when I wrote that, I was paused near the beginning of episode 5. Going to be starting 10 in a few.
