If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

Erika's face beat in like that in the end, though Ryukishi decided to introduce elements that make us sympathize her situation for some reason. A la Takano?

AFAIK she enjoys light hearted / comedic romancey animes, but she said whatever is fine. I was thinking Clannad would be an excellent choice since almost everyone I asked who has seen that said they watched it all over the span of 1-2 days, or possibly Kanon might work, but iunno. I'd like to find something that has tear jerking moments and isn't extremely dramatic the entire time, but romance animes that make you cry and are captivating enough to watch in one sitting are far and few :>.

kodomo no jikan

12 episodes, and will keep the atmosphere interesting

You want to recommend a loli ecchi show for three people to watch? What's wrong with you man.

i have no idea what you're accusing me of. I am merely recommending an anime that everyone should be able to identify with-- grade school children going about their lives and interacting with their teacher.

An anime about lolies is a really shitty idea. The reviews for the show were pretty bad and there is a woman joining the group. Think about the situation before posting, Zooey.

I should really put a sarcasm tag at the end of my sarcastic statements... It makes me come off as a much meaner person :/

Well I just don't think I'd want my first contact with anime to be that show, especially if I'm like 18-30. It would give me the wrong impression haha...

An anime about lolies is a really shitty idea. The reviews for the show were pretty bad and there is a woman joining the group. Think about the situation before posting, Zooey.

The 'reviews' (I don't even know where these reviews are coming from, perhaps an established anime critic?) for Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece are through the roof according to the expert analysis of 15 year old male adolescents. Clearly they are worth viewing over a masterpiece like Kodomo no Jikan.

A woman should have even more understanding of the anime since the central focus is of the three girls and their relationship to a male teacher (inspiration, father figure, etc).

I have obviously thought of the situation before posting. Why else would I have posted my exact recommendation and not a bland recommendation? You need to be more receptive of specific individuals and their requests.

Hahaha, that reply made me laugh so hard. There is a reason why Something Awful bans anyone who promote that anime.

Haha... So, hopefully nobody is aware of this yet so everyone can look forward to these OVAs >_> A friend linked me this earlier today -

http://www.animeseason.com/mudazumo-naki-kaikaku-the-legend-of-koizumi-special-1/

It's a special (before the OVAs come out) of that ridiculous looking mahjong manga. Does anybody else think it looks basically absurd (read as: epic) in every way? <_<...

Clearly not a series to be taken seriously, but.
I have nothing to put here. Obzy#1821 on Bnet.

Hey remember a page from a manga posted a while back about political figures and Mahjong?

And guess who was nice enough to sub it?

http://www.ggkthx.org/2009/12/30/reform-without-wasted-draws-the-legend-of-koizumi-1-web

7 Minute excerpt from the actual anime. Even if you don't get Mahjong, I think you'll be fine.
