Right now, Fate/Zero > Mirai Nikki for me. Atrocious pacing + stupid characters = not as enjoyable as I would have hoped.

most anime isnt as real as this description sounds, i really want a good studio to make a show about prostitutes or drugs(or some else dark problem), but judging as japanese don't really want to see such things, I'll probably be disappointed forever

I'm pretty sure there's plenty of adult manga that covers the sort of subject matter you describe. Of course, that says nothing about the quality of writing in such areas or their viability on television.

the VN "Yume Miru Kusuri" might interest you. It is basically about drugs, alcohol and bullying.It is really well done imo and an english version is out
Not directly with a "dark problem" but none the less still pretty depressing is "Swan Song"

EDIT: When I say "it's a toss up between" I don't mean that Shiki is a toss up between the two anime mentioned, I mean I want to choose between them. Shiki is nothing like either of them...
