Like in Shiori's arc. They keep telling you that Shiori is gonna die. And even get her sister to stop being a cold bitch so she can make Shiori's last days enjoyable. And the way Shiori leaves Yuuichi made me go ;________;
Oh wait, in the end she magically heals. My tears were for nothing.
At least we had Mai's arc, when Sayuri got attacked and killed by the demons. Oh wait, she magically recovered.
Well at least Akiko got killed by a car and Nayuki had to live on without parents. Oh wait, she somehow survived.
Yeah, it was a lot like that for me too. As I said, I marathoned it, going through all of the sad bits with tears.
The bit that got me was when they were showing a flashback of Kawasumi Mai's life with her mom, and she made all of the snow bunnies and said "Look mom, we're at the zoo!" So sad...
Alright, I finished OreImo vol 9 and was terribly disappointed. Then I caught up to Horizon and is utterly confused because like 30 years' worth of events got packed into one third of a book, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Gah hope they don't go crazy and try to pack in 3 vols into the anime for Horizon, there is no way they can do 3 vols in 24 ep.
Just curious here, what were peoples' expectations going into Yuruyuri? Many people appear to be disappointed, and I don't exactly get why. I wanted a funny series to watch every week, and I got exactly what I wanted from it. I don't really get what else you guys could have asked for from it lol.
The only disappointing thing for me was the distinct lack of a door slamming open followed by Ayano going "TOSHINOOOOOOOO KYOUKOOOOOOO," until today's ep
I'm thinking about rereading or rewatching Yu Yu Hakusho and wondering whether its better to read the manga or watch the anime. Watched the anime for a while, but don't think I saw the ending and that was a long time ago so wouldn't mind rewatching it and there are small things not in the manga like Yuusuke not trying to use the first detective item the spy glass to look through botan's cloths, less time with Botan fighting people infected with worms and other small details. I enjoy small details the anime add, but wondering how bad if any filler is in the anime.
IDK how the Yu Yu Hakusho anime compares to the manga, but I did enjoy the anime alot. The anime's last arc felt kinda rushed, but I dunno what that means in terms of the manga tho.

I watch it for humor. And indeed, I get something that resembles humor, but unfortunately, isn't really all that funny.
Also, this show thrives on character interaction, yet they refuse to play up some of the better relationships. Take a look at the Christmas episode, for instance. It had a perfect setup for some Ayano and Kyouko action, and instead, we got Ayano and Yui sitting on a bench, doing nothing. Real hilarious. -_- And the latest ep gave us really bad drama. Keep that shit out of my comedy shows, please.

the manga was just as rushed I think but this was just off the research I did. I havent read it.

and the added fact that Nichijou imo blows it out of the water for comedy, the other elements to Yuru Yuri like the moe and the yuri itself were perhaps not exectued aswell as some people liked andthe comedy wouldve covered had it not been for another show running at the same time with better comedy.
i think its ok. I just consume it like all the other weekly stuff and will probably forget about it a few months.

I watched Madoka when I was fairly inexperienced in the world of anime, and I didn't have much trouble with it.
However, Steins;gate is definitely not entry level.

Well, they're recs and not gateway anime. Some of the anime listed aren't even close to gateway anime.
