Even though I though R2 was good myself with a new character set could make it like season one again. Hopefully it answers some stuff too

I though we were *done* with code geass, I mean I enjoyed it, but Lelouch is dead and buried, we saw him stabbed to death, they better not come up with a way he dodged death, or worse, resurrect him -__-

Word of God either says "Hes dead" or "Decide for yourself".

+ Show Spoiler + Ya he was stabbed. There's the theory that he gained the code from the Emperor when he disappeared his hand so when he died the code was activated so he gained both powers hence code geass. I feel there's more evidence supporting him being alive personally but we really won't know until the next series. One article from one of the guys that made the series says that he died which mostly ended the debate but a few weeks later a article from some magazine another guy who helped make the series said that thats not necessarily true, that they left it up to the fans. IMO If they want him dead he's dead, but if they feel they could go somewhere with him he could be alive again so we'll see. Also I think it starts midway between season 1 and 2 but thats just speculation. So we'll most likely see some of lelouch, but just here and there.

+ Show Spoiler [Code Geass] +Word of God says Lelouch dies.
I thought there was an OVA series coming out about two teens in the European War in the Code Geass series. Is this what the new thing is?

Code Geass: Gaiden Bōkoku no Akito is the upcoming "season 3" anime that takes place in the CG timeline. Gaiden Bōkoku no Akito takes place in EUROPE during the Black Rebellion, possibly beginning of R2 actually. 2 soldiers from Area 11 are put in Europe with a 5% chance of survival to rescue an allied unit. This is a completely new anime, is not that spin-off manga about 16th Century Japan (Renya of the Darkness), and will most likely not answer anything from R2. I doubt Lelouch and C.C.will even be shown in this anime. links: http://peorth.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-08-10/figure-site-lists-new-code-geass-series-for-this-winter http://codegeass.us/ http://www.japananimenews.info/code-geass-season-3-confirmed.php

Code Geass has plenty of potential to be good. I think the setting is really good. They just need to stop trying to outdo 'Euphie the Mass Murderer' every episode. Hopefully a new Geass season manages to do that.

I felt like the series could have ended fine if they didn't have that in the first season and just stuck with Geass being 24 episodes long.

Yeah, if they would have ended at season 1, it would have been alot better imo. They really only had the Bloody Euphie thing at the end that was out of nowhere, and on its own, it is ok. Its just that once season 2 came around, they felt like they had to try and outdo that like every episode with the "twists" and "smartness".
