So I've been bored lately and have been going through some old animes i haven't seen in a while. I saw Bokurano and thought 'Oh I remember that as being really good, I'll start that again', stupidly forgetting that it the single most depressing .. anything .. ever.
Well, Code Geass makes sense as an attempt to parody everything anime at the same time so it's impossible to take seriously.
The battlefield tactics of LoGH isn't any problem, they are usually reasonable. + Show Spoiler +
The problem is that when one side gets a significant advantage, either the other side starts pulling off some crazy stuff or the first side does uncharacteristically idiotic stuff.
Capturing a mini death star with a small group of sword armed soldiers makes sense, Yang is a genius. Then let the previously excellent commanders of the Empire throw away a couple of fleets and another mini death star trying to take it back. It's also a good thing Yang passed on those brilliant tactics to his pupil so that he could capture that Imperial destroyer that got in the way.
If nothing else works when the empire is about to win a decisive battle, why not just invent some new physics to stop them.
Code Geass wasn't meant to parody anything, its just a show that turned out hilarious because of how hard it tried and failed.
Sounds like you are talking about Season 1 stuff (other than the shit that I have no idea what you are talking about), with the Empire throwing away fleets and stuff stupidly. In Season 1, everyone not associated with Yang or Reinhard was retarded. And then they all die by the end of Season 1, because Yang and Reinhard are that good. Then you get 3 Seasons of pure awesome.
Code Geass wasnt that bad....it sure had it flaws but overall the mech action was pretty good atleast. I think it should of started with a darker theme similar to Death Note. The overall setting was just to colorful for it to be drawn into a more series dark theme. What ticked me off was Lelouche playing chess with his brother and he didnt take the win....I would never understand that scenario. Their are a lot of key flaws in the anime but it can be overlooked I suppose.
Like some people said, if you shut off your brain and completely removed the word "why" from existences, then it the best anime in decades.
he didn't take the win because Code Geass is actually BL in disguise and because Lelouch is a uke character.
Damn that was awesome. Dorothy's story was pretty depressing, and Smith's sacrifice for her was even more depressing yet happy and awesome at the same time T_T Also Porshion is just epic as hell.
My only complaint so far is that every chapter, you have to sit through the same dialogue with the Grand Prince and the guy with the watch.
CLOCKU CRACKU CHROMU
I am so behind on the light novels it's not even funny.... I want more Asuka and Ringo
So I just finished Seitokai no Ichizon. Is there a season 2 to this? I checked wikipedia and they said a new season was announced in Spring 2011 but is it out yet? I am asking because it might have some rediculas name such as this one that I might not know lol
EDIT: Actually I looked back and saw this. So it explains alot :3
Finally finished Xamd Lost Memories, thank you Bones for ending an anime decently, I ( I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE REST OF YOU) am looking forward to what No.6 brings me (COMPARED TO THE REST OF YOU PREJUDICED FUCKS)
how predictable. I wonder how Haqua will escape though. she needs to hurry back and nurse Keima
I'd imagine one of the goddesses coming over unexpectedly, and nursing Keima back to health. They'd get some more love points and give Keima a nuisance to deal with while he's not progressing the captures. Maybe have Tenri come over or Tsukiyo? Or Ayumi / Chihiro taking initiative?
Watch Gunsmith Cats if you are a huge gun nut. It's one of the first few anime that got licensed in North America and the production value is very high despite it's age. The studio came to Chicago to take pictures because the anime is set in Chicago and they recorded the sounds of all the gun being used in the anime as well.
Oh shit. So it seems the Grand Prince is behind the spread of amnerol, and is trying to use amnerol to summon the Zahhak (fake Kikai or whatever).
They also mentioned something about the Grand Prince's daughter (I think) being rumored to have a child near the time of the Revival? I wonder if that is possibly Kia...

That is the art from volume 9 named Setokai no Kokohoe so yeah I don't think it's gonna be called "Ichizon Season 2"
that was a pretty good episode. It makes sense that you can only travel back in time since I would think it would be much more complicated to go to a time that doesn't exist yet as opposed to a time that's already happened. Suzuha being Daru's daughter wasn't much of a surprise. I'm starting to lose track of everything that's going on just because of all the D-mails and time leaps done and what has actually happened versus what didn't happen anymore. I was sort of expecting something bad to happen to Suzuha since 35 years is a long time but suicide because of memory loss except now she died of illness but still failed? and somehow Mayuri was saved. I wonder what this Suzuha did in those 25 years since the world line changed this time.

Poor Jeeg, coming out in the same season as Gurren Lagann, only to be completely eclipsed by Gainex hype
Dat JAM Project OP...:
Gave it a 6 after an inexplicable marathon (like I did with Mellowlink...), I woulda rated it higher if it was shorter but it still had too many filler eps for me :/
Stop giving 6s or lower to stuff I like!!!
Maybe he'll give you a higher score if you try out Lucky Star.
Oops. It slipped out of my mouth.
There are just some things I can't do. I've tried to watch Lucky Star, so I could give it a "I've actually watched the entire thing, and here is what I think" score. I've tried like 5 times. I still got the fucking series on my harddrive from my last attempt (for that matter, I still got Clannad too, from my attempt to watch it lol). I just can't do Lucky Star. Maybe I can do it on my 6th try sometime. Maybe I'll get brain damage somehow, and watch it. But right now, its just impossible. I can force myself to watch stuff I dont like, like how I forced myself to rewatch through all of Evangelion to give that one a score it deserves (aka its a piece of shit). I can do it in some cases, but Lucky Star literally has nothing that interest me. There has to be something in a show to grab my attention, in order for me to finish. If other people like it, well IDK how but good for you, I can't do it.
It still pains me that you would put Clannad and Lucky Star on the same level.

Clannad is better, if that lessens your pain lol. But its just another anime that I've tried to watch, but couldn't.
