Also darker than black openings were both really, really good, especially the second one! So good. Just finished nodame cantabile, btw. As I said a few pages ago, I feel like I've rushed the anime too much and didn't enjoy it as much as I should have

both of you are talking about something else god damn it, sentenal was talking about an anime being awesome while you are talking about a character having an awesome scene and then looking awesome(or being awesome, same thing) i think there was a misunderstanding but if you read the earlier posts i think sentenal was comparing an awesome and a well designed character, and then used another example that was an anime example and the misunderstanding comes from that. sent said romance drama couldnt be awesome while u argue that a character in a romance drama could indeed be awesome

Blasterion, I think Sentenal agrees with you but his point is regarding the overall anime as a whole. Generally, you don't watch romance dramas for the awesomeness but for the emotional aspects. Likewise, you probably wouldn't watch a mecha because it's emotional but rather because it's awesome. It doesn't mean that a genre is devoid of those aspects; it's just not the main reason or description of the show.
I ask because there's a Chinese exchange student at this program I'm in, and he's completely obssessed with the Crows Zero movie (based off the manga Crows ofc). Seriously, this kid is a genius, but for some incomprehensible reason he freaking loves Genji/sees him as a role model or something.
