I really like the Manga, so I hope they dont mangle it to oblivion in the Anime version. As far as I was able to watch... there are already some made up scenes in the 1st episode (eg: The fake video thing) and some slight changes.
I really hope they keep it accurate and free of censorship.

VIRAL??? Since when is yelling "HIKARI NI NARE" Viral's special attack? Since when does Viral have long hair like that, with drills on his fucking knees? They definitely can't be the most blatant GaoGaiGar reference ever, nop.

"gundam technology however is perfectly safely hidden in the colonys by the descendants of coordinators called newtypes (newtypes don't have the physical endurance of the coordinators but they have the Brain Power of them thats the only difference". LOL

OreTsuba with a really interesting choice for episode 4, looks like both Southlight and I are wrong on that part. Now that the little tricks are getting revealed, people might hopefully get more interested.
Maybe?

Do any of you have anime-related traditions?
I always watch the Cowboy Bebop movie on Halloween! Probably one of the few traditions I've kept up over the years! Not as much of a tradition but I've picked up the most annoying habit from when I used to live as a student, when both roomates and girlfriends were rotated fairly often. Now obviously it's rather from Japanese culture, but still through anime, but that fucking pinky finger popping out as a question, it drives me mad that i still do it :< Also it's not as much as a tradition but whenever I have a relative over that is under the age of say 9, they want to watch animated stuff and it always go like this. "I wanna watch Pokémon" "You better mean the original series, because we are not watching that new crap" "... what's that Pokémon! I've never seen that before!" "What the hell! That's a Beedrill! How do you not know what a Beedrill is!? Now here is a poster with the 151 Pokémons..." "Haha, there is like 500 of them" "No, there is 151 of them, learn them by heart or there will be no more Pokémon in this house" This is embarrasingly close to the actuall conversation.
Hey man ur not alone, I don't acknowledge the existence of other pokémon either.

Such as how was it obvious he did it at the school? What was the proof they were talking about ect.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some recommendations, as I've been struggling to find some new anime that suits my taste. Basically I watch anime that has an extreme depth in the characters, as this is what I feel holds a series together (idependent of the genre). Genre is not a problem, nor is violence/nudity/etc.
+ Show Spoiler [Anime I like] + Neon Genesis Evangelion - I don't usually like mecha anime; but the depth of the characters coupled with the existential philosophy gripped me. FLCL - Again the characters were amazing, what's more the comedy made me chuckle quite a bit. I also loved the surreal element, and the way this helped with the commentary on teenage isolation. GITS Stand alone complex - Characters had large amount of depth, and the social commentary throughout and the thought provoking analysis of life's meaning blew me away (I actually preffered this to the manga/film) Cowboy bebop - The soundtrack of course! Again the depth of characters coupled with the setting made this anime one of my favourites I've ever watched (which surprised me, as I kind of just stumbled upon it) Eve no jikan - Yeah this one is pretty unknown... but yeah, it explored the relationship between robots and humans (kinda like GITS, but in much more depth). Really interesting setting and very cool style. Higurashi - Very well done mystery anime. I loved the visual novel as well, but I feel the anime works better due to the visual novel's shitty translation. I haven't been able to find another good horror or mystery anime after watching this D:
Other: -Patlabor 1 & 2 -Paprika -Spirited Away -Basically Satoshi kon's filmography, lol -Darker than black (this one was another surprise, as I thought it would be generic, but turned out to be amazingly fresh)
+ Show Spoiler [Couple of example anime that I dislike] + Please don't hate me for this list! I'm just putting it here to allow people to reccommend me anime that I'll enjoy! Sorry if this offends anyone. Samurai Champloo - I just couldn't get into this, mainly because the characters seemed overly quirky, the philosophy was way too forced, and the 'filler' sections got way too stupid (e.g. the baseball episode). Also The main story never gripped me D: (though the soundtrack was balling) Planetes - again the characters were overly quirky. Shame as it sounded like it might have been good if the protagonists weren't so annoying. Naruto/One piece/Bleach/etc - I really dislike these sprawling infinite-long anime.
Thanks. Looking forward to recommendations!
