All this boring underwater adventures better led to some epic battles. Last few chapters have been awfully boring and I'm curious to see how much strong Luffy and Zoro got.

I think it is nice we get introduced to potential foes, that way the battle won't come out of the blue.

Awesome Chapter imo !
To me the new fishman pirate looks badass ! Not only threatening the SH but also trying to make them their subordinates is BADASS imo ! :D
I also like how potential foes will be introduced. First Coribooo & Caribuuu , then van der Dekken and at last the new fishman crew ! Nice nice nice , I'm curious how this will turn out !

Chapter was good. Kraken as usual was hilarious..them faces. I am surprised they reached Fishmen Island already.

how come Sanji dont get the possibility that she might meet fish-women instead of mermaids?
just cuz we dont see merman and fish-woman doesnt mean it doesnt exist.
so what happen to the swordfish captain and why are these guys have his tats?

The tatoo initially was put on them as the mark of a slave by the world nobles, about 13 years prior to the current storyline a Fishman Fisher Tiger the adventurer climbed the red line with his bare hands and manage to freed all the fishman slaves along with Boa sisters. Boa hide her tatto, because it's on her back, but the fishman can't really hide them since its in their face, so they add new decoration around the initial tatoo to make it look different.

The whole Underwater part they've been on for the past 2 chapters was awesome. The Kraken "Shrume" and the Flying Dutchmen. Read an interview where Oda said he was really enjoying writing the stuff leading to the FI arc.
Kinda want to see who the new Fleet Admiral is. Think it might be Aokiji.

Arlong was Captured by the Marines. And compared to the new Fishman Pirates Arlong is a wuss.
Also the Mermaids are the fish-women. Kokoro said so during the Water 7 arc. See was telling them about Fishman Island and where the Fishman and Mermaids reside.

According to the fan wikia Mermaids are not the females of Fishmen.
Translation and Dub
The kanji for Fishmen (魚人) is the reverse of the name for Mermen (人魚). They are often incorrectly referred to by fans, and the English dub made by 4Kids, as Mermen for that reason. As a result Mermaids were thought by some to be the female of the species while fishmen were the male, although this is not the case.
