There's one nice big smiley face (not quite Doflamingo's, but close) and a big frowny face on it. He was also the captain of the Spade pirates just like Law is captain of the Heart pirates. Finally, we know that Doflamingo has four seats: Diamond, Trebol (clubs), Spades, and Hearts (which he was saving for Law).
Was he originally saving the Spades seat for Ace or are the names just a coincidence?
It's also interesting that Ace was able to get a logia fruit as such a young rookie. And now Doflamingo was able to obtain it after his death. Did Doflamingo help Ace get his start? Does Doflamingo have some connection to the Fire Fruit like perhaps knowing it's "spawning location"?
More things than I originally thought might be coming together on Dressrosa. names entirely a coincidence, Ace was with the spades pirates since his debut
maybe Dofla wanted to recruit him but we see no evidence of them having a history, if Ace turned Dofla down Dofla would have done more gloating

Speaking of which, I was wondering how a Haki user would fight someone like Akainu. If you punch him then you'd just get your fist burned and there'd be no way to block his giant magma attacks. The only way I see it working is if Busoshoku Haki could repel lava by blasting it. So you'd "punch" through lava by propelling a Haki barrier in order to block it. Rayleigh did something similar to the giant elephant were he seemed to launch an invisible force and knock it down. If a Haki user can shoot forcefields then this means that anyone could execute that super king punch with enough practice. I don't know about you, but that sounds OP as fuck.
You fight Akainu the same way whitebeard beat the shit out of him after he killed ace at marineford.
Rayleigh used conqueror's haki which doesn't shoot forcefields it just intimidates the weak of mind and has them faint.

![[image loading]](http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130625192824/onepiece/images/e/e7/Rayleigh%27s_Kenboushoku_Haki.png) In the anime it is shown more clearly. Here you can see him blasting the leg away. I don't know whether he redirected the force back at the elephant or whether he shot him with a force field, but either one would work against lava punches. Also Whitebeard was using his earthquake punches to deflect lava. When he surprise attacked Akainu, he hit him while he was still solid. If he hit him without earthquake punches or haki force fields then he would have most certainly burned his hand like ace did.

The three admirals did that during the the attempt to rescue Ace too correct?

Rebecca will be as strong as Sanji and Zoro and will join the crew

My favourite to join the SHs was Boa Hancock or Jimbei but since that didn't happen, I doubt anyone else will join. Even the ghost girl who was with Zoro on Mihawk''s island seemed more probable =/

Hancock joining the crew would've left Sanji permanently useless

Jimbei's gonna join during the revisit to Fisherman Island. Luffy still has to destroy the place, prophecy and all.
regarding Dressrosa - I wonder if we're going to see Crocodile in this arc. Oda went to a pretty big length to have Crocodile and Doflamingo interact during the War, would be odd for Crocodile not to be in the arc where Dofla is defeated

Most people are sorta uncertain as to if DD will be defeated this arc.

I don't see him as a straw hat either.
Back in the day, he was just too good to be with the crew. Now he'll be too busy being an ally to Luffy. Most of the Straw Hats don't bring anything but their own self to the crew. They don't have a bajillion powerful friends as an army, or responsability about a specific place.
Jumbei is neither lonely nor missing something important. A lack of an own goal too tbh.

WHY do people ask for more strawhat members? with the exception of jinbei who i could accept, i actually think the crew is too large already (Franky or Brooks should have been scrapped).
People dont understand how much harder it gets for Oda to write if he has to keep track of more characters. The characters tend to split up during most Arcs, and if we have to many characters it means the story has to jump too much between different characters and nothing gets the proper time it requires to develop (we have seen some of this during the dressrosa arc i think).
Not to mention that we are already more than halfway through the story. I will never form the same bond with someone who joins NOW that i have with a character like Nami or Sanji, who i have loved and lauged and cried with for a decade,
I mean my emotional connection to brooks is equally nonexistant as his liver or lungs. and that statement pretty much sums up all there is to his character: skull jokes (and occasional panties remarks). His personality is just as hollow as his body.
Franky was pretty cool but has gotten dull post timeskip imo.

Jinbeis goal (bringing peace between humans and fishmen) is way more prominent and interesting than lets say, brooks or sanjis goal.
in fact i think Luffy, Zoro and Robin are the only strawhats who really take their goal seriously.

Dunno, but I believe the crew is full too. I'm sure we'll see allies more than crewmates now.

He can do it by himself (or with the fishmen & allies), while Straw Hats goals can't be possible by themselves.

I agree. Allies are perfect, and since this series will end with a huge war that will make marineford look like a joke (according to Oda) it makes perfect sense from a story POV.
I think you can count a lot of people as allies already; Jinbei, Law, Possibly Marco and the rest of the WB pirates (they will want to go after both the world government and blackbeard too to avenge the deaths of ace and whitebeard) and a lot of people whom the SH have helped on their journey so far. I wouldnt be surprised if Vivi and the Alabasta Royal army shows up to support luffy in the final war.

Well you said it better than me, but that sums up what I thought.

Just a thought. Remember Xdrake supposedly "attacked" one of Kaido's minions? It may be that Xdrake wanted to join Kaido instead. Since Kaido is so interested in Zoan devil fruits, xdrake might be a good addition to his collection. But once Luffy and Law come barging in, Xdrake will switch sides and BAM! one emperor down!

Jimbei's gonna be the next strawhat. He has/had interactions with the crew members, he spent something like 150 chapters with Luffy, he has a dream and he's utterly bitchingly awesome. He had a gigantic death flag during the war (going as far as to try sacrificing himself) but barring that, the next best thing he chose to do is live his life for Luffy.
HE'S ALREADY AGREED TO JOIN THE STRAWHATS
IT'S DONE
