every time I rage after reading naruto and bleach, I just turn to One Piece
always a great chapter, always interesting characters, always great charm and wit, always great story, etc...
basically everything that Bleach lacks nowadays.
If the writer of Bleach wrote the One Piece manga, he would have stretched the last chapter to about 20 chapters with useless dramatics and thousands of panels focusing in on characters eyes as they suddenly widen and sweat beads down their faces
Haha, yup. Ace getting punched through the chest was probably the biggest moment in the last several chapters, and that two second span in real-time would probably have taken up an entire chapter if Kubo wrote OP.
Two page panel showing Aikanu's fist moving with random lines in the background that can barely be called "art," and then everyone else's reaction (the same gasping surprised look, but on multiple characters faces) would take up the rest of the chapter.

The hidden meaning doesn't have to do so much with the bell as it does with the tatoo-like image on Luffy's arm. That's the message, its probably telling them when are where to meet back up. The bell thing was just as Killer explained, Luffy proclaiming the start of a new age.

I dont think the message was for them to train to get stronger but they decided to train to get stronger because thats what you do when you got X amount of time to kill.

On the anime front, they just started the Whitebeard War. I'm really looking forward to seeing this get animated.

OnePiece is so awesome. When I think that at the beginning that was the one of the big 3 that I liked less... I love the kinda slower pace, to calm down after the WB arc

I thought Ace is logia type why can't he just let that punch pass through him like bullets? Haki? then why didn't the ice man die when white bread impaled him with hakied spear?

it was a relatively boring chapter for One Piece in my opinion, though in no means was it bad. I totally understand the lack of action right now. I guess I just wanted something amazing because of the 2 week wait.

Are you talking about when Akinu punched through him? Logia powers don't make you completely invulnerable. Like for example, Luffy being able to hit Enel, or Luffy+blood being able to hit Crocodile. In Ace's case, apparently Magma>Fire, so thats why Akinu was able to kill him.

Didn't he still had the seastone cuffs on anyway? They prevent any devilfruit usage.

That was after he was freed. Akainu insulted Whitebeard's bravery, so Ace retaliate and got owned  Akainu said that Magma>Fire so that's why in that situation he was able to hit Ace.

this explanation makes perfect sense. i already knew that ace blocked that punch for luffy, but was stupid and just thought that he could also block it by being fire.
