Well, this is just gonna be wikipedia stuff but....
Luffy - May 5th - Cinco de Mayo, but I can't see the relevance of that. Children's Day in Japan.
Zoro - November 11th - End of World War I, Pocky Day (lol) in Japan.
Nami - July 3rd - Nothing seems to stand out. Women's day in Myanmar??
Sanji - March 2nd - The Omizu-okuri (Water Carrying) Festival. Honestly don't see the relevance.
I'm guessing, other than Usopp, the rest are either random or maybe the birthdays of famous people that have some relation to the character in question? Like Sanji's is the birthday of some famous cook?

Manga as compared to anime offers the reader the chance to use his vast imagination to fill in these scenes and make them "move". It just so happens that imagination is better atm lool

Should I just post this on every page. Or maybe a mod note? lol Just saying. And the Redline theory is just that. A theory. It'd be interesting if that's the way Oda went, but as of right now, no one knows except for Oda (and the editors he's told). I don't think anyone else is in a position to say "This WILL happen" or This CAN'T HAPPEN" etc., etc. TY Also can someone explain this to me. I understand Ussops birthday being on April Fools Day but what about everyone else is there some deeper meaning to the others as well. http://www.batoto.net/read/_/90549/one-piece_v15_ch130_by_onepiecefag-nep-ece/20 omg i share luffys bithday! :O

Luffy - May 5th - More like Go Go = 5 5 in Japanese
Zoro - November 11th -
Nami - July 3rd -
Sanji - March 2nd - San = 3 and ji = 2 / ni
Not the best Japanese speaker but I'd assume it's like that.

Mangareader doesn't work for anyone from the US btw.
|
Luffy = May 5th = Boy's Day in japan(the "child's day" is separated for boys and girls) = kid-like personality
Zoro = November 11th = 11/11. This kind of date is known as Zorozoro in japan.
Nami = July 3rd = 07-03 = Nana + Mittsu
Sanji = March 2nd = 03-02 = San + Ji
Usopp = April 1st = he is a liar
I don't think other characters have a birthday that has anything to do with their name/personality. However, Nico Robin has her birthday on Christmas eve(12-24, sounds like a joke on multiplication), Franky is on March 9th(03-09 ???), and Brook on April 3rd(04-03 = Shi + San = "shi-san" = death-san)

I'd say it has something more to do with the will of D, but neither of us can be sure about that. ^^

Where is it? Bleach has been out for an hour or so.

woh almost thought its on a break

funny chapter, but i wished they progressed that fight faster.

Luffy taking care of his gramps business
as expected swordman Ricky is an important character in disguise.
The whole king with super punch but 1 hour charging time was abit lame though.
|
I didn't remember what page in this thread but SOMEONE CALLED IT about the flying fish, the counterpart of bulls in this arc's theme. LOL
edit: ricky - Obviously the reason Oda's hiding that face is because he's someone we already know. Hell he could be kyros's son or disciple
|
So, guys, guesses, who can Ricky be?
|
the gladiator with one sword and no shield

not sure if sarcasm but, did you read the chapter? it's fairly obvious
|
There was one fairly old guy in the audience who recognized the fighting style of "Ricky" but because he can't remember his real name i doubt that its Kyros himself but maybe the guy who hit him once?
Either way im pumped for the next chap!
