At least that is what happened in the anime. I don't remember that in the manga. Edit: Also why all the hate at the last chapter. I was kind of disappointed when it seemed like when Luffy was going to leave that Rebecca and kuros were not going to live together but now they are. Kuros is a cool character. | ||

This whole arc has quite a few similarities to Alabasta and I think it would be cool if Rebecca joins the crew in contrast to how Vivi wanted to but couldn't because of her responsibilities. Rebecca has already given up her responsibility to be queen to her sister Viola. I don't think she wants to live in dressrosa but I guess she could. It makes sense to me that she and her father would leave with Luffy. | ||

umm jimbei def joining bro he already agreed and the cover story showed him solving the problems in order to join. Pretty sure he will help the crew escape vs fuji | ||

and also after reading that theory thread i am inclined to think there will be in fact another time skip. this would allow new crew members to join and still give enough time for them to form bonds with the rest of the crew and develop their powers | ||

So anyone join after brook will more or less similar to brook's situation, as much as oda is a god but too many core characters will only be bad (we havent had much story development for most of the core members already). | ||

He was an extremely well liked character who could have fit in with the Strawhats easily. A lot of people also really like Bartolomeo in just the few chapters he's had. I don't think he'll be more than an ally, but he could join and fit in instantly. Oda is incredibly good at making characters very interesting in a very short period of time. He can literally dedicate one chapter to a backstory and one more to interactions with the crew and that character would fit. | ||

I just don't see any good reason for anyone else to join. I think you need to discredit a certain amount of chapters after the time skip due to re-bonding and reader discovery. Given the drastically changed abilities and demeanors of the Straw Hats, there was a period where introducing a new Straw Hat would have been tantamount to insanity. I don't think a new crew member (likely the last) is out of the question at all, and it certainly seems to me that things have been moving in that direction (even Luffy's off-handed "Jinbe, join my crew!" was given enough gravity to imply that it could potentially happen). Sure, it's not guaranteed, but Oda has turned expectations before. Ace's death was so huge because no significant character had ever died more than 400 chapters into the story, so it isn't entirely out of the question that something similarly surprising might happen down the line. Someone could leave the crew for all we know - Usopp could become the sworn protector of Elbaf or w/e. But sure, it would be batshit. | ||

Sorry There bro, but there's actually no way someone gonna leave the crew. I mean, pretty Much anything can happen afaik, but not That. No way. The building up of the crew has been such an important thing in the manga, with Oda-san finding a purpose for each and every one of them to come alongside luffy. They all got a dream, all got a purpose for beeing and even more staying in the crew. Plus, apart from the story, if You take a look at some early drawing of the crew That Oda-san made, he has got a good idea of what role were needed, and i dont think he gonna deviate from those ideas he got even before he started OP. | ||
