wasn't a terrible chapter but we really didn't need an entire chapter of crying and announcing Luffy as the winner. I mean come on. A couple pages showing everyone's teary eye'd smiles then announce he won in the next, that should have been like 5 pages at most. Stretching it out for the full thing was just not cool on Oda's part, not when we still have so many unresolved things to look at. Sabo is still fighting Burgess right? We still haven't seen half the crew in an insanely long time, CP0 etc. The last like 20 chapters of this Arc has just left a seriously sour taste in my mouth unfortunately. It's been bitter sweet, so many cool and good things but then we get dragged out filler style stuff in between breaks with bad plot devices like the bird cage. Overall I still give this arc a solid 7-8/10. Could have easily been a 10/10 if it didn't drag on so damn much and if the bird cage wasn't retarded.

Please go away from this thread if all you want is nonstop action. Oda is trying to tell us a story here and celebrating a win is part of a story. OP never has been and never will be nonstop action and I am totally glad for it.

Compare this chapter vs. Crocodile's defeat in Alabasta. https://www.opbforums.com/manga/One-Piece/210/1#omv Same concept; different execution. And the Alabasta falling action is a lot more effective than this one.

So get off your fanboy high horse, stop acting like you can dictate what is and isn't a good opinion. This thread is for discussing One Piece, and some people are disappointed with it recently. That doesn't make their opinion less valid then yours.

No I am angry because OP fans who used to be awesome turned into shittalkers. We used to be something special, patient people and now we are just like any generic shonen fans who are not satisfied and impatient.

i probably would have if all the tension hadnt been so dissapointing, if he had finished Dofla off with G4 the first time it would have been better but he needed 10 minutes of mooks watching his back while several ridiculously strong people capable of KOing Dofla all tried in vain to slow down the bird cage that aparently was capable of KOing an admiral and several extremely powerful people with no effort needed from Dofla, and then Luffy comes back to throw one punch then pass out again
G4 is going to have to be alot more impressive next time he uses it becuase it was so underwhelming this time, he CANT use it like he did there if he uses G4 he has to KO his opponent

DD was Admiral level, we wasn't afraid of fighting against fujitora but still got beat by a 19 year old kid with much help of course!
Is Shanks, Kaidou, Big Mom, BB, the admirals in the 20 year old range? no.. they are 40/50 year all veterans with much experience
doesnt matter since in a 1v1 he would have completely lost it doesnt matter that Luffy is younger hes still going to have to fight those people 1v1 and win

One of the weakest ? I don't think so. He goes head one with an admiral, He OHKO Oars Jr., Take over a country by himself. If anything he is one of the biggest shots in the new world and that's why Luffy needed an alliance with Law to begin with. People stronger than Doffy ? 4 Emperors, Probably Akainu, and some vestiges of the past like Rayleigh, maybe Sengoku. But I don't think there is a lot more stronger people than Doffy

in other words: every of luffys final oppponents moving forward

Moria didn't kill him, Oars Jr. came up ages later to pull the ship through the siege wall.
Also Doflamingo isn't weak per se but he is still leagues below Kaido which he pretty much says himself and Kaido isn't anywhere close to being the final boss I reckon.
