I have been there. Forikorder is getting better with his english skills, slowly but surely.
What irks me is that even the good ideas he has are looked down upon because 5 years ago he was a pretty bad poster.

I'm all for having fun when we are discussing but c'mon guys. I think we gotta give credit where credit is due.
Forik did have a point and I would have to agree with him. He isn't on that close minded one way street anymore and I appreciate that he does try to contribute to the discussion, a little more healthily now that before.
Sometimes, he still doesn't want to let go of his idea even when there is no proof on his end, but on this one, he isn't at least in the wrong outright.
I do hope Kubo expands how this "drug" actually works because this was quite a step up in terms of the "norm" we usually get. But that is usually the case when we get Mayuri in the picture. He seems to bring out the best in Kubo. hehe!

What's wrong with forikorder's english? He communicates whatever bullshit ideas he has perfectly fine. In this case that kubo doesn't know how to express himself and his own version of events is what kubo intended. Even if his version would make more sense than Kubo's it doesn't alter that he is proposing an entirely different version of events than has been translated.

Yeah, it seems like there's some misconception that I'm mocking his English. I'm not. I'm mocking whatever bullshit he's spouting that he decides is the truth at that particular moment (despite the author saying someone else, which would explain my whole initial post about him knowing best).
"Romanian" since long ago stopped being an insult at messy English sentences (if it's ever been) and is now used to describe someone like Forikorder coming up with crazy shit and defending it to absurdity. Romanian was meaning somebody didn't understand sarcasm, not being a troll.
I actually had a few personal messages with rei and he actually identified as troll to mock people in manga/anime threads showing poor understanding of the story world or being bad at formulating arguments.
That was the fun thing about rei, that he actually argued quite well in the context of the manga, despite fully knowing the flaws of his own "enel is invincible" statement.
That is also not how you use straw man in any context. You are making fun of Forikorder, I accuse you of mocking him, that is what you do.
What you guys are, is biased. You see Forikorder wrote it, and first you assume he is wrong and then go for cheap criticisms. Even if the *unofficial* fan translation of the manga is weird or makes no sense in any way you choose to believe the fan translation is completely right; for no other reason than then Forikorder is wrong and you can hammer out another "forik so wrong, omg" post.
You see for this chapter of bleach I am quite sure that forikorder was one of the first ones to write that the effect of the drug is probably a hallucination and therefore not actual time travel. This was the way I understood the chapter as well.
BUT forikorder did say that(among other people). Therefore you decided the opposite of that must be true, which means a fucking drug, like a pill or injection, causes time travel.
The best part is that you ignored other people that interpret the last chapter as drug induced hallucinations, the same way as forikorder.
So yeah, I think you are on thin ice on this one. Taking the third or so post saying "it's hallucinations" because forikorder wrote it is quite literally picking on someone. As in you picked a guy that got picked on by other before.
Come berate me and newsunshine for having said the same exact thing just before forikorder did.

Last I'll say on this matter, is that I've gotten into arguments with Forikorder before. Admittedly, I did the last one just to see if I could win, because I'd seen how he posted before. But this time what he's saying makes sense, it's how I, as well as hopefully many others, understood the chapter, I didn't think it was particularly difficult to understand that a point of view change doesn't need to be announced, figuring out the change of perspective as it's happening is often the coolest part of hallucinatory-type shenanigans. Having said that, it makes more sense that sumsar is just picking on him being a dick to him, for I don't know why. I also remember him flat out bashing Naruto and Bleach before, for no other reason than it must be cool or something. Not very complicated, I say just ignore sumsar until he says something worth reading, most of it's been straight-up negativity.

It's easy to think that everyone thinks the same thing you do - in fact I'm sure that's some sort of logical fallacy with a name and everything. Doesn't mean it's true. I read manga because I like it. I would say everyone else feels the same, but evidently they don't.
