Kubo is sometimes the Michael Bay of shonen's but shines the Aronofksy inside him at the most unexpected. There's a lot of possibility and many ways to explore subjects such as attachment, domination, emotional and physical as a pervertic zombie-lady fights with the captain who is also known for his sadistic attitude, esp. towards his Vice who is just as much a servant to him as is Bamby-chan to that Quincy. I wonder if it's all really about "Heureka" moments for him or if he's too moody to constantly put this much effort into his manga or what. Hope it'll last some more b/c reading this type of Bleach is actually entertaining. Not in that "this is sooooo stupid that I have to laugh and have to defend myself against the lack of reason or coherence by mocking it" but in the "this was a good twist, and I'm wondering how the two sides of this same coin can argue and counter-argue and what makes one even better than the other, hm, suddenly these characters are alive and even this twist aligns with a lot of unresolved panels we've seen in the past, weee-hoooo!" sense. | ||
