If his body was "fake/imaginary" then how did he get defeated? The damage of being unable to contain Zaraki's power was caused to his body, clearly the illustration did not show any damage to the fishbowl/brain so how did this work again? I mean this brain doesn't have nything else connected to it yet it seems to be able to survive so I would have thought it needed to be damaged to get beaten...

My problem is simple. Has there been any actual meaningful deaths that the fans even cared about? -_- So much for a war if it's so one sided. Chickening out on Byakuya... And why has it felt like no character ever had character growth, or they did, and then were instantly reverted as fast as cement drying on a 100+ USA Fahrenheit day? Similar to Claymore retconning Miria's death...and Naruto just reviving characters over, and over, and over again =_= . Although Naruto at least somewhat buries people we somewhat cared about pre-time skip >.> .... and yea. Naruto and Bleach don't know how to do meaningful female characters...although I can honestly say a lot of literature and movies suffer from the same problem.

9 pages of that it took for him to die, 6 pages of fillers and 1 page of what might happen next chapter. I really like reading interactions between characters, (like zaraki's squad interacting with each other) it builds character development and adds personality. But does Kubo really need to have 9 pages of that guys death? I feel like I have to read a 2 months worth of bleach to equal 2-3 chapters of any normal manga.

I really hope that we get to see Kenpachi just kill a line of people in a rampage while looking for Yahciru, starting with these chicks. It would be a great way to "even" the tides a little bit.

Basically.
So many Shonen are trapped within their own expectations. This manga can be easily saved if it doesn't shy away from breaking the mold.
