You realize that if there wasn't a hint that this was his power earlier, that's just bad writing? Otherwise a chapter would only be good if it made up a completely random power out of no where each week rather than being a foreshadowed build up.

Onto his power, I think they said that he only had offensive attacks that could cut through anything right? What if this is an evolution of that power to cut through the metaphysical heart? It's still technically just a cutting fullbring but a semi-logical step up without being a random secondardy ability.

Basically all that happened is what happened to Orihime already happened to everyone, which I would hardly call a good chapter. It would have been fine had something else happened but just ending with ITS A TRAP pretty much killed it. Yes I agree if there was no hint it would be shitty writing, but nothing really happened at all this chapter that it needed to be its own chapter.

tl:dr if there was more meat to the chapter it probably would have been better

I think Kubo is hoping that by calling himself out on dumb shit that we won't complain about it.

I was kinda hoping we'd see Shinigami vs. Ichigo friend zombies, with Ichigo fighting both sides to try to protect everyone or something based on the last chapter. Which is to say that I'm back to wanting Ichigo to die about as much as ever, in as painful a way as possible.

Also - have we really gone another month since the 'whose feet are those?' discussion without having any more clues about it?

Interesting to see the manga saying the location of the final showdown this quickly though... Although I suppose the same could have been said about where Aizen and Ichigo ended up fighting when he used the 'final getsuga tenshou' (sp?) when we were in the Rukia arc and they were walking around outside the walls of Seireitei.

I'm half hoping for a guest appearance of Deadmau5 and his sweet space-invader tattoos. It won't make sense in the manga, but we'll be glad for a Dj when the anime catches up.

This has potential to get interesting. However, so far it's pretty much identical to the new Gintama season first few episodes. All that needs to happen now is to find out that Ichigo and Gijnou are actually under whatshisname Aizen 2.0's control and for someone else to save them.
