The most disappointing movie I have seen in a while. Full of flaws and unbelievable characters. And not even fun to watch.
2.5/10

Scott Pilgrim vs the world

I really enjoyed this one. It's funny and so over the top. I like the style of the movie and the hints and references were hilarious most of the time. Good movie if you just want to have some fun.
8/10

A Scanner Darkly

Heard of this movie a while ago and finally got to see it. It was better than expected. I didn't really like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas so I didn't expect too much from a "drug-movie". Turns out they were very different flicks. I really liked the mood in this one. The story and the conflict of the main character could've been deepened or more detailed. Overall a decent movie though.
7.5/10

Edit: Btw, Dancer in the Dark is some heavy stuff. Overly sentimental for my tastes. Not recommended for everyone.

The Theme song is on youtube, pretty crazy that they would make a movie like this not that long ago.

This movie had little to nothing to do with the 'little fockers' but it was still more of the same shit from the first 2 films, so you know what to expect. It's pretty funny. Also I was surprised to see Jessica Alba in the movie (had no idea), and she played her role really well imho.
5/10 I guess

Saw this one in real D or whatever its called. I dont like these movies and I saw it for free. Basically its just some fantasy story about the kids who get on a ship and try to unite some swords to defeat some evil place that steals people. Pretty boring for me, but if you like that kind of stuff you won't care about my review anyways. Special Effects were ok I guess, all CG doesn't really appeal to me either. I miss the old days when people actually had to build sets and costumes and explosions. that 3d shit always hurts my eyes too.

when jolie started fucking everyone up it was pretty obvious she was a russian spy. overall felt very plastic and unrealistic

the social network
6/10
every time i watch a jesse eisenberg movie i think to myself "yes this is gonna be the movie he fucking plays someone else other than himself." but no this is no different. his entire movie career could have been filmed back to back and he need not ever switch character. it's the same geeky, quirky, tries to be badass but fails kind of character speaking too fast.

buried
6/10
actually ok. got exactly what i expected. close camera shots, very dark, claustrophobic kind of thing. ryan renolds was actually ok.

the american
7/10
very nice. loved the scenery, use of colours, style, pacing and the clooney character was very convincing and nicely done.

switched that feminist shit off in 20min

the town
7/10
not bad. only thing is how annoying ben affleck's accent sounds and how jeremy renner empty'ed a whole clip at don draper from 4 meters away and didnt scratch shit.

robin hood
7/10
was actually quite good. the story was nicely done and the characters were convincing enough.

megamind
6/10
was ok. not bad but it's more that the amount of detail and thought that goes into every shot and scene that is impressive, not the piece as a whole.
Yea that looks just like Kang Min... amazing game sense... and uses mind games well, but has the micro of a washed up progamer.

What?? Sure its not a serious film but if you take as a light hearted feel good comedy it was pretty awesome.

Also it has EMMA STONE which imho is enough reason alone to watch it.

Surprisingly enough, I thought this movie was quite decent, despite it being written by m. night shamalamalan. it was good for what it was made for, a cheap thriller. But the ending was stupid. like, really stupid. I don't know what goes through people's heads when they write endings like that.

Well, the film was hyped so much because of Heath Ledger, but for a Batman "hater" like me the film wasn't very entertaining. And Batmans Voice made me laugh so often.

- The Prestige
Amazing movie. Excellent actors, great story, with a very surprising ending.

- Inception
Just awesome. Even better than The Prestige. One of the best movies I've seen so far this year.

Now I need to watch Memento

He said he's watching Christopher Nolan's films, not Tarsem Singh's...

@ Seriox: You should definitely check out Following. That's how Nolan started with all this crazy ideas of his.

More fucked up movies to see:

Naked Lunch - watch this and absolutely nothing will ever surprise you again and no movie will seem fucked up any more.

The City of Lost Children - Pan's Labyrinth and other flicks like that have nothing on this one. It is a mixture of Dark City, Neverwhere and Mirrormask (at least that's the closest comparisons I can draw).
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

I also just watched both movies, and I have a completely opposite opinion.

Salt: 7/10
Although Salt doesn't have a top notch story, but there is enough actions to keep me happy, maybe because I was so tired. I actually felt sad when Salt have to watch her husband drown.

Scott Pilgrim: 3/10
This was a huge disappointment for me, I found myself skipping parts 30mins into the film. For some reason I felt the trailer was better than the movie itself, it's fun and geeky in a few mins clip, but having to sit through the whole movie with it felt just a bit too much. Now I can understand my friends reactions when they first went to the cinema.

I felt bad for missing this movie in 2009, so I watched it a couple days before 2010 ended. I picked it up thinking it would be a silly, innocent lesbian love story and ended up being really surprised. Also, it has Eva Green, and Eva Green makes me drool all over the screen every time. Too good. I guess I'll give this a 9/10.

Wow I had the pleasure to see the 2nd Narnia movie on a long flight, ill give it a 2/10 because it was horrible. It seemed like a very preachy very badly executed lord of the rings ripoff. How you can even compare those is beyond me.

8/10-You ever met people who could be so obsessed about a small hobby that is so insignificant to most people, and yet they are completely obsessed by it? Oh wait, I'm posting this on a Starcraft forum. Great documentary, a lot of fun to watch. Jon Stewart cracked me up, something that doesn't happen a lot.

6.9/10-Not a horror movie fan, but this was a pretty good, smart, and funny script. Usually horror movies have incredibly dumb characters saying dumb shit, but not here. Probably would recommend to a horror fan.

2/10-What a disappointing movie, full of plot holes and cheap gimmicks.

it's pretty much perfect within its own expectations, which is to be a beautiful and quietly sentimental little film. it's like a delicate still-life painting or ambient music. it's very effective at conveying this quiet beauty too, but the theme may not relate to many people for them to have a stronger reaction than "hey that was nice."

Didn't enjoy it as much as the first one. Still great though.

I still have the theme song stuck in my head...

Watched Space Battleship Yamato in Japan. The Japanese take on Hollywood block buster formula - throw in popular stars, cgi, mix with lots and lots of cheese. Enjoyed it nevertheless!

A documentary about a squad of American soldiers stationed in an Afghan valley, which was one of the most contested areas in that region. There is no voice-over or other form of commentary other than what we get from the soldiers in camp and after their return.

What I particularly liked about that documentary, is that apart from the firefights you expect from that kind of film you also get to see what meetings with the locals look like; pleasant as well as unpleasant.
