One thing for certain is the Armorer and AD could be in very big trouble. Legally. The Armorer clearly had no business in handling anything and the podcast audio of her won't help.

Can this be real? One of my favorite movies of all time is getting a sequel or a series?

I also really enjoyed Dune. Great adaptation thus far, and I should really reread the book.

After tackling Frank Herbert’s speculative classic Dune, Denis Villeneuve is set to direct an adaption of another sci-fi story from genre staple Arthur C. Clarke. Villeneuve will helm Rendezvous With Rama for Alcon Entertainment, which worked with the director on the Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal starrer Prisoners and Blade Runner: 2049. Along with Alcon co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary will produce via their Revelations Entertainment banner, with Freeman having previously held the rights to the 1973 novel. The story from Clarke, the writer behind 2001: A Space Odyssey, follows a group of human space explorers who are tasked with intercepting an alien starship that is hurtling through the solar system. It is believed that the missions will lead to mankind’s first contact with alien intelligence. Source

Also saw Spiderman NWH last weekend. Not bad for a watch. Its been years since I actually sat at a movie theatre, so that was a great experience in itself. Not a super must watch, it felt a lot of fanservice over actual story.

Pretty cool movie that describes the polarized society we live in and our inability to agree on the most basic facts. I think it manages to capture the absurdity of it and how political and business elites are taking advantage of it for personal gains. 8/10 Matrix Some brilliant ideas here and there, but as a whole the movie didn't work for me. The Marvel style humor which on some occasions was almost breaking the 4th wall had me scratching my head. I simply have no idea what they were aiming for with the movie. I liked that the Analyst was basically a personification of the algorithms that social media are using to create engagement on their platforms and how that was the basis of the new and improved Matrix, but the problem was that in order for it to work Neo and Trinity had to be alive (or at least that's how I understood it), so there was no sense of danger for them. Besides Bugs there were no other new memorable characters, the action was very uninspired and the script seemed like a first draft written by a student. I also didnt like the directing and cinematography, I thought they were horrible. 4/10

It probably would have been better as a spin-off rather than a sequel. There was a lot to be said there, there’s far more to be said about the lives we live online and the virtual spaces we inhabit now than there was in 1999. But it was sidetracked by the resurrection of Neo/Trinity and their attempts to get back together, plus returning faces from the original three. Something set in the same universe but otherwise fresh would have had less baggage and more room to operate.
