MGM has put out a lot of terrific films over the years. They can reboot any of them at any time now. And it'll probably be worse in some capacity. The great consolidation is hitting all forms of media/entertainment and we're nowhere near done.

Bond is the big draw, other stuff might include RoboCop, Addams Family, Poltergeist, Pink Panther, maybe even Stargate.

Talent is easier to just poach directly instead of buying the entire company.

Hmmm, I think Legally Blonde is definetely going to see a new iteration given the musical. The others I'm not sure.

But what do I know, Apple brought back Amazing stories so maybe literally all of those will come back.

Saw Margin Call (2011) last night.

Very very good film. Offered a lot of different perspectives of how Wall Street justifies their actions and where their moral compass may sway at any given circumstance.

Seriously a dark horse of a film. The acting was 10/10. Story was super straight forward (they don’t really hold ur hand with how mortgage backed securities worked etc) but the general idea and concept was enough imo.

On a related note: The Big Short (2015) did a great job of hand holding when it came to the jargon of banking and trading. I suspect that they learned a thing or two of how to better be received by the general audience (having Margot Robbie and Selena Gomez explain stuff).

I’m still stumped how this great film had avoided me this entire time.

Just saw Northman.

Didnt blow me away like The Witch did. I was doing my best to feel immersed in the world but it wasnt clicking. Still great movie just not up to par from previous works. The spear catching scene was the best part of the action and they already blew it on the teaser/trailer. 6/10.

I watched Dont Look Up. I love Adam Mccay but he really missed the mark on this one. Great premise, and some hilarious scenes but it went on for far too long.
