Prey is what Predator is about: A human overcoming an overwhelming alien adversary by learning and adapting. The protagonist was a bit of a mary sue (sioux?), but there are no realistic fights in action movies anymore anyway. It's not like men without superpowers are always portrayed realisticly.

Best Predator movie in over 20 years. Good blueprint for further movies. It's super easy, no cinematic universe with overcomplicated connections needed, just take any period in time or story and just throw a predator in there: WW1/2, sure. Pirates? I'll take it! Feudal Japan? Hell yeah! Viking Invasion of England? Let's fucking go!

Just finished the movie and I loved it.
I actually liked the Predator design as well, it looked unique. I really liked the Predator’s mask and weapons here as well, I would’ve liked more insight into that part though because it seemed like this Predator, although highly advanced, was less advanced compared to the other ones in the franchise. He didn’t even have the plasma gun.

It was a good addition to the Predator franchise, I just hope they dive into the Predator lore more for the next one.

Hopefully the DND movie is at least ok.

The rather humorous not taking itself so serious approach from the Marvel films gets a bit stale, but might fit D&D very well. I mean who has serious D&D adventures?

Thoroughly enjoyed The Northman. Its a good mix of Norse myths, depiction of Viking life, and good old-fashioned revenge story. And it helps that the actors bring such enthusiasm into their roles. I couldn't finish watching the director's other movies (The Witch and The Lighthouse) but perhaps I should.

i just love how slow moviing Jackie Brown was...
and my goodness Pam Grier was so smoking hot.

The slow pace permits the viewer to carefully contemplate the details laid out before them.

Watched Vesper the other day. Solid SF movie. Nothing truly stellar or ground-breaking but it does have some interesting concepts and is definitely worth a watch. Especially if you like the post-apocalyptic stuff.

You mean the rumors where the plot of this movie revolves around Indy traveling back in time so that his younger self can sacrifice himself, thus erasing him from existence and making way for a new, better, female Indy?

I really wish Disney would stop running franchises to the ground one after another... At least with Star Wars we got a bit of hope with Andor but it might be too little, too late.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to drop a quick recommendation for a movie I recently watched. "The Gentlemen" directed by Guy Ritchie is a must-see. It's got it all - crime, comedy, drama, and an all-star cast. Matthew McConaughey gives a killer performance as the marijuana kingpin looking to cash out, and the twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend checking it out, it's one of the best movies I've seen in a while. And very stylish. Let me know what you think of it!
