Commonsense Media says, "This reboot, the third film based on Mike Mignola's terrific comics, is missing the magic of the first two; it's also extremely gory, but it has enough style and personality to make it worth a look. " Personally, I was confused as to what you were talking about. I thought for sure Hellboy came out like 15 years ago.

One thing is for sure. There will be bad guys fighting two nice boys and their lady friend in Jedi underarmor. And ghost Luke, as we have always dreamed. People will start calling Rey a Skywalker because she has a laser sword and the majority of the galaxy never met Luke. Skywalker will mean to people in this era what Jedi meant in the past, the heroes of a bygone era that people relied on. And I’m sure there will be a ghost emperor, likely in the ruin of that Death Star, because is where he died. Don’t know why it’s on an ocean planet. Many that is Endor itself, rather than one of the moons...? I don’t want to fact check that.

2019: It's your father's Star Wars! It's your father's Star Wars! Please come back and pay for one more movie and buy our merchandise! Look, the Millennium Falcon, Lando Calrisian, the Death Star! Look, the Emperor! The trailers have invariably been better than the movies, because imagination does a better job than adding a whole new unnecessary title to a series.

The lady being turned to ash the brother being thrown out the window the guy getting his head bit off before also being thrown out the window followed by people banging against the wall for help before being quickly eaten. Even the dad is eaten in the end. Captian Marvel suffers I think from bits that you never really think that shes in danger. but at the same time you get the feeling that feige or some producer saw this and decided to invest time into the characters of the villians for the audience to get something from them being defeated. This is an example of shit that goes on the whole goddam movie. It solves issues while miltitasking for content on other things. The scene near the end where we have to set up how fury gets the pager is also showing off furys eye is also setting up her entrance in endgame is while all this is going on a nice goodbye scene where these two huge stars are washing dishes. One thing that I thought was jarring as well is the integration to their greater cinematic universe. Jesus Shizam was shit on this and captian marvel was great as usual. The superman bullet story point is used once and then ignored when the bullets are shot at shizam. They could have had a great storyline of super hero memorabilia but was too lazy and too dedicated to the simple cliche story they had planned. Meanwhile marvel has recurring characters cameos story hooks and tied off threads all done with the continuity of a religion. Man shizam went downhill so fast at the end. The last scene is just shamefully bad and the after credits scene are both pretty cringy.

Once Disney bought the Star Wars IP it changed from the creative vision of 1 ambitious guy into a multi-billion dollar annuity.

I've always found Neil Marshall to be an entertainingly eccentric director whose sensibilities partially compensate for the bizarre plot twists he enjoys indulging in. Its the Pacific rim issue. Once they weren't able to secure del toro anyone else is going to make a movie that is always going to be missing something in its soul. The guy makes monsters like I've never seen anyone. I'm not going to stand on a table for the hellboy movies but the monsters just had something in their design that made them so great. The golden army was also just amazing in the little places. Imagine a del toro godzilla movie

+ Show Spoiler + Its hilarious they didn't get sued into the ground for making a game so similar to Luke Skywalker's final battle as he destroyed the Death Star. I wonder how many other Star Wars ripoffs were around back then.

+ Show Spoiler + The entire story is about finding C3PO and antenna from the second deathstar to broadcast the story of Luke Skywalker to the entire galaxy. For most of the film character's don't know what they're searching for though and they're just bouncing from planet to planet fighting random bad guys. Palpatine's voice from the end of trailer is there because it is revealed during the movie that Kylo Ren is in possession of his hologram which prompted his fall to the dark side. This might potentially be the lamest thing ever if it's true.
