I'm usually really annoyed by sarah silverman's voice but it fit the character so well that I warmed up to it. Great movie for sure. Loved all the video game references.

A Separation (2011) - 9.1/10

Extremely gripping throughout. The characters, situations and twists in the story are all so realistic that it almost feels like it could be a documentary. I would highly recommend it.

Watched a lot of 80s movies while I was sick the past days. One thing all those had in common for me was a great deal of nostalgia, I just loved the 80s, the music and even the silly hairstyles/clothes paired with the sometimes even naive imagination of the future and technologic advances. The movies just had a distinct charme, that seems to be missing in most of todays works (even though that might just be inspired by nostalgia as well).

Cute little sci-fi kids movie, deserving to be named a cult classic. I've never seen it when I was younger, but since Explorers (from 1985) is one of my all time favorite movies when I was a kid, I most likely would've loved this back then as well.

One of my favorite movies when I was a kid too. I always was into robots and scifi. Watching it now, I saw a lot more that I missed or never thought about when I was younger. Still a decent movie to watch with lots of charming little references.

Most commonly known for being one of the 50 worst movies of all time. I still enjoyed it's over the top style and rewatching it after so many years I still had a blast with it, since some parts are just so bad, that they're really good again.

There isn't really much you have to say about this movie. Great actors, great guest stars, great music, great gags.

Watched Silver Linings Playbook last weekend. As someone who has some friends with mental issues the movie really rang quite true, it was the best movie I've seen in some time.

I saw They Live with a friend recently. If (like me) you love terrible and cheesy movies, this is for you. I'm amazed I didn't know about it. Amazing dialogue (Where'd you get those glasses?), ridiculous fight scenes and a message so obvious I'm surprised it wasn't written on the disc. Highly recommended for fans of bad films.

I saw Tinker Tailor Solider Spy (2012) yesterday and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a bit rough for the first 30 minutes, but once action picks up it gets really good.

Yes ! I'm happy you liked it, it is indeed a very naturalist film, the acting is incredible and the scenario is among the best I've ever seen.

They Live is a great film, the sense it gives of America in the 80's on the fringes is very visceral and that POV is so well done. The directness and unsubtlety was a purposeful choice (it's like the fantasy of just blasting the face off all the things in society that keep you down that you obviously can't fight directly in reality), same with the B-movie look, it all adds to the blue-collar and down on the luck fringe characters in society feeling.

The only thing that I thought doesn't really do so great in service of the film was the fist fight scene, lol, that was just gratuitous.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion man

big fan of michael cera. love him in these kind of roles, as the socially awkward guy that tends to fuck up things as hard as possible. loved him in superbad aswell. overall Scott pilgrim vs the world was a very funny movie, would definatly watch it again, id give it a 8,5/10

This will sound weird but I saw "Mama" and it was, in my opinion, actually a really good movie... Almost not even a horror movie but a Tim Burton'esque tale. I just felt it was gripping for some reason I can't put my finger on, and I hate all of the crappy "horror movies" like smiley, paranormal, strangers etc etc etc that have come out recently, devils something or another and the list goes on but this just kinda... Like I said, it was gripping, 8.0/10.

I just watched this Korean movie and i must say I'm pretty impressed. Tells a nice little story about a guy who is a lowlife loser who falls in love with a girl who is severely handicapped with cerebral palsy.

The movie is not for everyone, it might be a bit boring at times for people who aren't specifically interested in Korean society (which this movie portrays very well and interestingly!)

What i find so great about it though, is that it has an amazing twist. I've never really seen anything like it, it is very subtle, its pretty much just a single sentence being reminded to the protagonist. But it completely turns the movie around. Everyone is suddenly seen in a different light and from being a lowlife who you can only feel pity for, the protagonist is turned into a hero! If that premise sounds interesting to you, you should check this movie. The movie itself is only about two hours long, so to any fan of foreign movies, i wholeheartedly recommend this!

Incredibles. Was a pretty good movie.

It's pretty shallow and is more of a feel good family movie. The movie was lacking in humor. I like that people do die making it more realistic than most. Still the lack of a theme makes it worse than How to Train your Dragon but better than something like Brave.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

The Descent 7/10 . Good for what it is. I liked that the characters weren't stupid (except for holly) like in most horror-flicks.
