To have the Greyjoys leave the Iron Islands? ergo their own lands? No he said for them to leave the North. Apparently they have been raiding it the whole season even though it has never been mentioned. The only places that the show has mentioned them taking was Deepwood Motte by Yara in season 2, and obviously she isn't there any more, and Winterfell, which Theon lost. If there are other places they might control, they haven't been mentioned yet.

I thought Theon guys that betrayed them were the only ones. There are troops at Torrhen's Square - that's where some of the Ironborn went after the sack of Winterfell. And other little castle-forts like that, small towns, especially in the western part of the North, closer to the shore. I can list a couple other names, but it still won't mean much to you. Suffice it to say that Balon's still has crews/groups of his men scattered around the North trying to hold onto the lands in the name of the Iron Islands.

And brianne when she gets to know too. I really liked chapter 9-10. Of course finale felt a bit more bland, because the 9 was perfect for a real cliffhanger.

Having said that, the ending with Dany was a tad lame. Still a great episode, though.

That clears my confusion .basically ironborn are like vikings, so they raid in small parties of 30-60 men, enough to cause trouble to any small place or bigger places if they come with surprise. this makes it hard to deal with them but at the same time it makes them uncapapble of dealing with a large force if it aims their entire might at them, as seen in the result of the 1st greyjoy rebellion.

It was a bizarre departure from the usual standard, desperately cringeworthy. It just didnt seem to fit in with rest of the series in any way, shape or form. She's gone from having to show strength to unite her husbands tribe after his death to suddenly being a hands on loving mother to thousands.

She has a motivation to kill the people she has killed: to save her life (the stable boy) and revenge (the guy by fire.) She will *never* kill randomly for sport. For sport? No. But if she becomes a Faceless Man, she'll do it for money... and somehow, I don't think that training to be a Faceless Man would require a different kind of discipline: killing someone you don't know without any remorse. And she all but said that she is going to try and become one. Then again, this has been delayed over and over, so maybe it will never happen. But she will never be the "clean kill" type of Ned, Robb, Jon... or even Jaime (who as far as we know only kills for honor, duty or love). She won't be a sadist like The Mountain, but perhaps more like Bron or Sandor (a person that just likes killing)... unless GRRM will show a Stark some mercy. She's had enough trauma to go all-out psychotic, and is motivated solely by the need to kill for vengeance. She has no family to return to (Bran and Rickon are presumed dead), no home left, and basically, no way I can see for her to lead a life that doesn't end up in pools of blood. At this point, I don't see her being satisfied with Joffrey dying at anyone else's hands. And I think she would make a really adorable sociopath. Maybe the episode 9 is making me see things a bit too darkly. But as said, fool me once, shame, shame on you...It fooled me you can't get fooled again. From now on, I am assuming that the only people with honor that will survive will be the ones who would burn the world for it (Stannis).

Just compare it to the ending os S1 (dragons born) and S2 (white walkers marching). I really don't see why people are hatin on this last ep. It was great. It picked up on sixteen (yes I counted) of the seventeen remaining major plot threads going in the series, had two of the best scenes of a season full of great scenes. What the heck else do you want after Red Wedding?

Also, not sure if the episode felt wayyyy too happy due to the previous episode being the red wedding, or because it was quite cheery in general.

Jon Snow is going to have some seriously badass scars. Can't wait to see what happens at The Wall next season, especially now that Stannis is in the loop. Will Jon lead the Night's Watch now? Does anyone else think Ygritte purposely hit him in non-lethal places? A nice observation posted on Reddit: Jon Snow chose duty over love, Robb Stark chose love over duty. Now to catch up and read the books!
