Agreed, he's looks perfect for the part

A Feast for Crows is still on my shelf collecting dust. Maybe this series will get me back to turning pages.

leave it there imho it's not a good book. Or just skip every Brienne chapter.

Like everyone else, I hated her chapters so much. If you really have to know what happens to her, then just go on wikipedia and read the summary there.
+ Show Spoiler [A Feast for Crows spoiler] +If she didn't actually die at the end, then at the very least I hope we never have to read another POV chapter of her again.

What!??!? I loved Brienne's chapters.
|
how? I think brienne is the only character whose POV chapters I simply could not stand Every time I wanted to throw the book across the room ><

I read this series when I was 14....and I loved every single second of it. xD
I for one hope to all the Gods there are on this Earth to make this show happened as soon as possible!

Same...why all the hate for Brienne? She was practically my favourite character..

Ah kids. The only thing that irks me are that most of the POVs are kids, 8, 11, 13 years old and too god damn smart for their age. Hm that and the lack of disease.
That would-be-Arya + Show Spoiler + is just too cute to fit her description and all the things she does in the books and a + Show Spoiler +

once again, make-up does wonders guys..they'll look very different on screen than in these real actor photo shots

I agree that they went out of their way to find actors that suited the book's description of the characters. That I appreciate greatly.
And about people saying that Brienne was boring, while this may have been true to some extent, I really loved her synergy with Jaime and how their time spent together seemed to change both of them.

Tyrion is gonna be so badass.
Somehow I imagine a midget version of John Travolta (looking how he looks in From Paris With Love) to be a kick-ass Tyrion.

YES, and the 5th book nearing completion as well...im almost done a feast for crows, just started the series a few months ago and its one of the best ive ever read. Dont want to have to wait a long time for the next book, but i guess its not much compared to what everyone else has to to wait lol.

Yeah, her chapters in ASoS were pretty fun, but in AFfC...I dunno why, but I pretty much had to force my way through all her chapters.
+ Show Spoiler +It could just be that everything that happened to her in AFfC was boring and that's why her chapters were boring. Actually, that might be accurate since Cersei's a pretty shitty character POV wise as well, but her chapters were still interesting since she was involved with everything in King's Landing.

We cannot keep playing with the emotions of TL
This thread shouldn't get bumped for "yeah that was a good part in the book"
IT KILLS ME.
FUCK when is a dance for dragons going to come out?
I got really sad/scared when I saw that pic of martin.. he looks older and fatter. If he dies before that book comes out I will Dante his ass so fast.

That's right, if he gets hit by a bus or has a heart attack, the series will just never get completed.

from his blog entries, from awhile ago he had like 2-3 chapters left to finish for dance, and that he had submitted a large chunk of the manuscript already to his editor that they shouldn't be giving him back to fiddle with. So maybe by next december? Tell him to stop pushing his wildcard series so much and more might get done

That's right, if he gets hit by a bus or has a heart attack, the series will just never get completed. Seriously? In a way, I'm kind of glad that he won't allow some other writer to crap all over his series, but it'd be nice if he could have some sort of cliff notes type thing prepared so everyone would know basically what's supposed to happen in the last few books. (edit: obviously I really really hope this won't be necessary but...well...you know.)
I don't know...that kind of feels cheap also, but after this much time I'm sure a lot of people would prefer to at least have some plot lines answered.
+ Show Spoiler + Is R+L=J really true? If not who's Jon's mother? What's the song of ice and fire? Why do the seasons work the way they do (supposedly there's some magical reason)? What really happened to Valyria (in more detail besides just "the doom" or whatever it was...I really need to reread those books again)? Does Tyrion ever get back with Tysha? etc. etc.

I'm worried as well but he is only 62. Even being that fat I don't see him dieing in the next 10 years. Should be plenty of time to write three or four more books as long as he doesn't get side tracked by his other projects.
