Cause I'm not buying that at all I remember reading in Executive Orders (Tom Clancy book) when they were going to execute someone by beheading, right as the sword was starting to swing, they would poke the guy in the side with something sharp so he would reflexively extend his neck which would make it more likely to be a clean beheading (i.e. less likely to strike bone). But this is fiction, suspend your disbelief and go with it.

I think Dog has left quite the impression on Sansa several times... So if he promises her to bring her home to Winterfell, it seems legit for her to believe him imo. But btw... did she actually say for sure, that she would go w/ him?

also, stannis is never gonna ally with rob since he is just another usurper to the throne that calls himself a king (pretty sure stannis mentioned it in an episode).

She would probably get raped 400 times and get her throat slit before Stannis heard about her though. I thought that Tywin went after Rob, as he might lay siege to Casterly Rock? What happened to that?

She looks at that doll of hers, like she's thinking about it, and then that's all we see. I hope she doesn't. It seems a bit creepy and out-of-the-blue that the Hound would suddenly care about her well-being. Although I loved their dialogue. Sansa's "You won't hurt me," sounded perfectly halfway between a command and a question. Really well delivered.

He's consistently showed he cares about her, from the first time he told her she should just follow Joffrey's demands so that she doesn't get slapped, to when he went to rescue her from getting raped during the riot, to this, and probably many other instances that I don't explicitly remember.

Him telling Sansa to follow Joffrey;s demands, and rescuing her from being raped could just as well be him... doing his job. She is his lord's woman. It is possible that he cares for her, but as far as his character goes (just in this episode, in his dialogue in the tavern -- the man lives to kill things), it seems a bit out of the blue. To me.

The Hound also came to Sansa's defense when she angered Joff at his nameday, with saying "You cant kill him" and then coming up with a random superstition (you could see she was confused about it) and the Hound backed it. And he has given her a pet-name, "Little-bird" which suggests at least some kind of connection

Through frequent shots of the Hound's facial expressions during scenes where Sansa is being abused or Joffrey is being a cunt, we've seen that the Hound has morals, honor and sympathy for Sansa. I figured when the Hound left the battlefield he was going to go to Sansa and die protecting her instead of Joffrey. I was suprised however to hear he planned on taking her back to Winterfell. You need to watch the show more closely. ![]()

That was pretty huge. It always looked like the hound had a special interest in the "little bird".
