graphic beheadings and murdered infants? no problem. the natural human form? NOT IN MY HOME!
Normally I'm the first to make fun of America's love for violence and hatred for just one bare breast, but in this case.. The sex scenes in the show rarely add anything whatsoever to the plot, while the beheadings and murdered infants are kind of very focal plot points.
How is it actually bothering people. "Get those titties out of my face" is possibly the most obnoxsious nit pick to have about the show.
I don't think it's so much that people are bothered about Tits getting in their faces until it subtracts time from characters who actually drive the plot forward. Judging from some responses to Ep1 saying they thought it felt rushed, I think it's a valid concern.
Don't get me wrong, I think Tits is a great character, but I doubt she'll be influencing fate of nations. There are so many great characters and it goes just to show what a great job they're doing when people would rather see these other characters instead of Tits.
Tits are the reason Daenarys is ruling the Dothraki (subsequently dragons, but Tits came first), Tits are the reason soldiers are hunting for Baratheon bastards and Tits are the reason Joff is not a Baratheon.
Tits are a great motivator, especially in a kingdom of power-hungry warmongers, and this natural phenomenon of "Tits" is better at explaining a lot of things than long talk scenes.
Also, greatest quote from any TV show ever "pardon my tits."
Is that quote from the british chick in dexter?
Yep it is. Awesome post by Mobius btw.
Although the actress that plays the main whore (the one from the north) is indeed quite bad. Could really do without her. Shae is much better, she should take the screen time of the Northern whore if they really need this in the show.
I got upset about some book departures in season 2 episode 2 and basically went on a rant, but now that I've read over the posting rules for this thread I realized it would have got me a warning at best and maybe a temp ban at worst. Sigh... I guess I"ll go to a forum of ice and fire to talk about this kind of stuff.

As a sidenote, I have to say I don't like the changes they did with the theme in that second season first episode.

If it's spoiler related, talk aobut it in the spoiler thread (as in spoilers from the book). Otherwise post here in spoilers. I want to hear your thoughts!

He was probably referring to the same qualms I am having + Show Spoiler +
Like how the giant taking the baby at the end isn't anywhere in the books, and obviously the filler scenes with characters that aren't pov characters in the book and therefore making up scenes that are somewhat irrelevant

If you guys are already getting upset about such minor stuff you should maybe stop watching. Because the series will deviate from the books much, much more. Much of the stuff happening in the books can never be actualized on TV. You guys have to realize that the series is not the books. It is made for a different audience, and most that watch it have not read the books.
Personally I dont mind deviations even in the main plot. Because I already know that story from the books, I dont need an exact copy of it. As long as the series is good all is fine for me.

Oh. Craster, you mean. 'The giant' ? That confused the hell out of me.
I don't know how I feel about that yet, since I obviously don't know how it'll turn out by next episode. I think it'll get resolved immediately and it'll be almost like it never happened.
I think everyone's bitching a little too much. There will be some deviations from the book. It's expected. I like how they're adding some new things. So far they've all been good.
They did such a great job with the first season, I don't see any reason to worry any time soon.
I just hope they actually have battle scenes in this season. Tyrion getting knocked out was gay. ;/
They've said in interviews there will definitely be battle scenes this time, so if you missed them being in season 1 to not fret.
I'm wondering though, does anyone know whether or not HBO Go is going to continue releasing episodes 1 ahead of the actual broadcast every week, or am I still going to be waiting another week to see a new ep?

Bah, that's the punishment for having watched E2 early!
*hopes someone somewhere will fuck up again and release E3 early*

there was no fuck up, hbo go meant to release episode 2. They did the same with spartacus as well, if we're lucky we may see one or two more episodes a week early throughout the season.

the sex scenes ARE a complete waste of screen time. We get it- sex is important, a motivating factor and there is and always has been a lot of sex involved in everything. But you don't have to SHOW us so much god damn softcore pornography. Not only does it make it extremely uncomfortable when relatives walk in while you're watching, it is also just a waste of time, 90% of the sex and tits scenes add ABSOLUTELY nothing to the plot. If I want porn I'll just head over to red tube thank you.

haha I feel you man, If i was living at home itd be super awkward watching this show on my family's TV. on hbo go you can set an episode to a certain spot, and since me and about 6 pals share a GO account: one of them thought itd be funny to leave it right before a loud sex scene, and my one pal who started watching in a library was super shocked. also apparently he had a giant bucket of popcorn with him too so people were already looking at him.
I love that they are deviating from the book, else I would be less in interested in the series. After I read the books I found the series much less appealing than before
