yea definitely not the vision of Stannis I had while reading, Renly too for that matter
From the books Stannis is meant to be "stone" whilst Renly is a spitting image of his brother. So expectation wise I think they are decent, but not as accurate as some depictions (all the lannisters for example).
Stannis and Renly both I expected to have some more muscle / build to them. Renly especially I feel is almost too small, but it almost matches his showmanship better. Stannis, from the trailers at least, has the hard face I expected but again I imagine Stannis to be larger whilst he appears quite thin. Of course Stannis impressions are heavily from trailers so far, so I can't rule out that he might just fit better than I imagined.
Still, as a whole I think I just expected the Baratheons to be more...robust? Some adjective along those lines. (EDIT: Or "MASSIVE" as it was put a couple of posts ago hahaha)

Don't know where you guys got that stannis was big and muscly. He seemed much more like a tight-skinned skinny aging/middle-age man to me. Considering his eating habits I would say this should be the typical impression.

Stannis is described as Iron (brittle) to Roberts Steel. Renly I think was described as Copper.
Renly was also described as being the spitting image of his brother (Robert) during the height of the rebellion (tall, muscular, handsome and all that) whereas Stannis looked far older than either of them (despite being the middle child) due to receding hairline, stonecut jaw and being more slight.
I think Stannis is fine but Renly's actor just isn't big enough
