I had never read, or even heard of the books before I saw some of the promos for GoT on HBO; but after watching the first episode, I was immediately hooked. Anyways, without giving away any specifics, I was just wondering if the walkers (and that whole world north of the wall) are going to make any further appearances? The drama and premise was more than enough to keep me watching after episode one. However, the real reason I tuned in to the series and continued to watch, was because of those riveting first ten or so minutes in the forest. Anyone? Great show so far. ^^ + Show Spoiler [books (small, but necessary to answer…] + In the second book the night watch stages a major campaign north of the wall, so you will definitely see more of the stuff beyond the wall then.

I wish they would use the time to better flesh out some of the side characters, instead of adding in yet another meaningless sex scene thats not even in the book. I would love to swap the sex scenes for some of the sandor/sansa dialogue that was in the book, but it seems their relationship has been entirely left out in the TV series.

I've been on the edge of my seat even though I've read the books. There is only one thing I don't like, its the unnecessary sex scenes. I don't mind them showing boobs or anything, its just its getting rather repetitive. Try to listen to the dialogue that is going on in the sex scenes and read between the lines of what they are saying. Fleshing out side characters are exactly why those scenes are there. They could have been done in other settings of course, but why not. They are only boring if you focus on the fact that they are sex scenes (which I admit is easy to do).

I don't get how it's a fair trial to fight when they won't even prove whether or not he's guilty or innocent

Heh, isn't a sex scene the epitome of fleshing out a character?

Littlefinger said it was his dagger and that Tyrion gained it by betting against his brother. Since neither Littlefinger nor Jaime are present as witnesses and the court wasn't exactly unbiased, there was no way to get a fair trial. A Trial by Combat, much like a Trial by Ordeal was a pretty common way of settling disputes at one point, 'fair' doesn't really fit into it though.
