This episode was decently done. We should see Dany becoming the mad queen next week while being unable to wait the 2 weeks for the northern armies to arrive.

Guess I got unintentionally spoliered on reddit which I didn't realised at that time. A number of people posted their "theories" on how GoT will end which fitted this episode to a T...

What's with the Troy-like plains before King's Landing? Devoid of all life and such. Maybe they got rid of the trees for the ballistaes. Missandei dying is nothing special since she's supposed to be an advisor to Dany,yet she spoke to Dany in this season like 1 time? Maybe? Dany not seeing the approaching fleet was just meh, but killing the dragon was cool.
Bronn being a real dick was uncalled for imo. Yes, he's an outlaw, in for the money, but seriously threatening his 2 friends(?) was kind of a dick move, but I guess he had to choose since, you can't really refuse Cersei.
Hopefully Euron questions Cersei about Tyrion knowing that she was pregnant.

if it takes them a couple months to travel from winterfell to kingslanding then Cersei should be "showing". i was looking hard to see if her bump was any noticeable and it was. so that might cover tyrion knowing shes preggo.

Imagine if Cersei killed Tyrion and Dany for free at the end, when she could have, instead of letting them live. I guess even the GoT writers realized that the deaths last episode were enough tragedy, and didn't need to go any further... yet.

Loved how confident Qyburn was in the Westerosi teleportation service. Walking out there knowing that behind him Missandei is going to be executed. What if the writers would have forgotten to teleport him to safety when the execution was ordered!

The first 30 minutes of today's episode were real rough to get through, but after that I liked the episode a lot actually. The fleet battle was well done and we got some actual story for the first time this season.
Of course, the last scene was completely fucked up visually speaking, but from a storyline perspective I still liked it.

I was so jaded after episode 3, it was only really force of habit that made me watch this one, but I actually thought it was ok. At least we weren't continually shown death scenes which turned out to be just flesh wounds. At least, by and large, the show followed its own rules where admittedly: folks teleport around, glaring military blunders are commonplace, and parlays are sacred or someshit (like last season).

The tension built through the characters was great. Sansa's legitimate concerns, Jon's choice between love and family, Tirion's crisis of conscience, Dany becoming twisted by hate, Jamie choosing between love for Brienne and hate for Cersei. All very well acted, and relevant to the unfolding plot. Actually makes me want to tune in next week to watch the character drama at least.

I feel like Sansa is really overplaying her hand. She's got no power to back her sassyness up, openly being bitchy to the dragon queen and betraying Jon's trust. She could easily do a little bootlicking, make close friends with Dany and have great influence on the seat of power.

I liked it, I think it is a good episode 4 for what we got so far. Haters gonna hate.

Only gripe was probably the one liner from Tyrion to the onion knight saying something like "oh don't think about it too much" to brush off the Bran and NK plots. Im still hoping he has some role or small explanation to make but again I think that was it.
